Gone

As time goes on things disappear... gone forever.

Everything over time fades away into history. Who remembers those changes the most? People that lived, enjoyed, and gathered great memories before those things were gone. How well those changes are accepted depends on the perception of how good new things replace old favorite memories. In most cases the changes never lived up to those cherished memories.

The fountain of nations at Epcot, demolished and torn down. At its dedication, nations from around the world brought water from their countries to commemorate Epcots World Showcase.

Epcot Christmas decorations greatly deminished, most notably the dancing lights arches between Future World & World Showcase.  Lights dancing to the music of Mannheim Steamroller... Quite the show. Long gone.

Mickeys sorcerer's hat at Studios.  The park icon which definded the imagination of the park... long gone.

SpectroMagic night time parade at Magic kingdom.  High energy, thousands of shimmering lights, lots of action. The best night time parade ever. Replaced with an old stale electric light parade resurrected from years ago. Long gone.

But for younger newer guests, they'll never know what once was, so they'll never know the changes that simply eliminated were once cherished memories.

Some things don't make too much sense, except from a money saving change. Charge guests more... offer less.
