Pot & kettle

The Pot & the Kettle.... And the old saying... " The Pot calling the Kettle Black".
As all the malcontents gear up for yet another season of protests against anything Confederate. Anything Confederate... Yes,  from the American Civil War from 1861 -1865... Yes from 165 years ago... Anything Confederate "offends" them, and is emotionally and physically detrimental to their life and the pursuit of happiness. And anything Confederate should be eradicated from the public eye... statues,  memorials, and commemoratives... because it offends them.
It's time to get a life.  If your life sucks and is not everything that you think it should and could be... It has nothing to do with anything Confederate... It's you own failures.
Facts that poke holes in your hatred for all things Confederate:
- The Civil war was indeed about the Southern way of life and slavery. But the overwhelming majority of those that fought in the war were not fighting to either free the slaves,  nor keep them in slavery. The powers to be in the southern government and the wealthy plantation landowners set the stage for the war, and got the southern soldiers to fight for every reason beside slavery. While the southern men and soldiers did not hold slaves in any regard ... They were not going to fight and die over the slaves of the wealthy plantation landowners. They fought for the propaganda of southern rights to rule themselves free of an oppressive northern government. Less an 1.4% of southern soldiers came from families that owned slaves. So why condemn all southern soldiers for fighting for their beliefs (be them miss guided) when their beliefs and motivation to fight had nothing to do with slavery?
- How can you be offended by the slavery issue from 165 years ago,  that has not bearing or influence on your life today?
- How can you be offended by the slavery issue from the civil war but not that of the founding fathers and all the early government, political, and prominent leaders from the countries inception? All of whom owned slaves. How can you not be offended by their likenesses on our money, our monuments, our statues... They were all slave owners.
- Now for the pot and kettle thing... just about all the protests are taking place in the south, in which the majority of the people have roots dating back to when slavery was legal. So basically many are protesting their own ancestors way of life. Then of course there's the whole Democratic Party concept that anything Confederate should be protested, when the origins of the Democratic Party itself supported slavery and the democratic party founders were themselves either slave owners or in favor of slavery. Funny how the protests are organized and or sanctioned by the Democratic Party leaders...and the ear for the people protesting is non other than the democratic politicians that willingly bend to the will of the protesters.... tear down those Confederate statues and monuments.
Of course you should not believe everything you read on the internet.  Everything is tainted and slanted to hidden agendas and political means, hyped by the media which itself is a political machine.
My position... simply stop this nonsense.
SIMPLY STOP THIS NONSENSE!
