Abandoned majestic homes that were once the pinnacle of luxury, and status of the wealthy, now lay abandoned... slowly decaying away. Growing up in an urban area, not too many things were left to abandonment. They were sold perhaps several times over and maintained to keep their appearance. Or they were torn down to make room for new construction. But very few of any were simply abandoned for year after year to simply fall apart. So it seems very strange to see buildings, especially such majestic homes rotting away for decades. Surely someone would have purchased them, and fixed them up. It certainly seems such a waste just to let homes that were once this nice, to be abandoned and slowly lost to history. But, there they sit, falling apart for decades. Such a waste. How beautiful they must have been when they were first built. Almost inconceivable.
