The Carousel at Disney World Magic Kingdom is over 100 years old. Like many things Disney, in the beginning, many things found new life at the Disney Park. The most noticeable are the trains, and the most visible and probably least known is the Carousel. Originally Cinderella's Carousel in Fantasyland, and for many years to follow... now for some reason its Prince Charming's Carousel when they expanded Fantasyland. I haven't quite figured that out but so be it. Disney seems to like renaming things to achieve some imaginary obsession. Some things change and naturally get renamed. Some things remain as they have always been, but still get renamed. Such is the case with the carousel. Why? Idoeno.
Here's a brief history from one of my favorite Facebook sites "Disney know".
