All Aboard

All Aboard... trains, riverboat, trolley car, main street motor cars, or the People Mover.  Take a rest... Take a ride... Enjoy the view... And let Disney do the driving.
They are all a welcome break from walking around.  Main Street vehicles will take you from the train station to the castle and back... a break from a short walk but welcome when you are tired. The riverboat is a loop ride leaving the dock in Liberty Square and returning there,  but a relaxing ride on a tired hot day. The people mover again is a loop ride that goes through space mountain... Ahhhh... Air conditioned. It's a nice little break from walking.  Would realty be nice if it was much longer. The trains are more useful having three stops.  Main Street Station,  Frontierland, and in the new Circus Town ( the old Mickey's Toon Town). Helpful for getting around quickly or just a nice ride around the park. All aboard... enjoy the ride!

Walkin' down Main St.

Walkin' down Main Street U.S.A. Another great place to enjoy the nighttime atmosphere.  Watching the crowds while enjoying an old fashioned ice... from where else... The ice cream parlour... of course. I'll take mine with extra hot fudge topping. You can also grab a coffee and pastry or enjoy a little shopping.  Or mosey on down to the train station and enjoy a nighttime ride around the park.

Give me liberty

Give me liberty. From independence to decades later... the American Spirit that started with the Liberty Bell, to the Rivers of America, to the village and the Hall of Presidents.  Let freedom ring.  Another great place to enjoy the evening lights after the sun goes down. A great place to simply enjoy watching the crowds go by while sitting under the Liberty Tree. Right on the waterfront where you can catch a ride on the Liberty Bell Riverboat. Peaceful and relaxing. Was a good shot to watch the 9pm parades, which no longer exist. Sure miss SpectroMagic!

Tomorrow

Tomorrowland tonight... Once again the sun goes down, and the lights transform the nighttime into a burst of magical colors. Even if we get on just a few rides, or none at all,  just walking around enjoying the nighttime atmosphere makes it all worth while. So relaxing and enjoyable.

Classic

Classic American Eats... Not gourmet but so delicious.
Start with a big hunk of beef cooked over an open flame. Add cheese,  bacon,  lettuce,  tomato, & onion.
Add spices like Red Robin spice blend.
Put on a fresh baked tasty bun.
Couple this with french fries made from real fresh potatoes, fresh cut and deep fried to golden.
Get some fried clausen pickle spears.
Ice cold Coca-Cola in a real glass.
Have Heinz Ketchup for the fries.
American Classic Delicious 😋 .

Irish humor

Irish Humor from a favorite Fb Site. No doubt a true story.

Home on the Frontier

Home on the Frontier...aka... Frontierland. Ahhh... Nighttime. The lights come on,  the crowds go away,  and that peaceful easy feeling is so relaxing.

New Fantasy

New Fantasyland night time. The sun goes down, the lights come on,  and the nighttime glows with colors.  My favorite time of the day. It's especially nice when the crowds thin out,  or are fine completely.

Adventure

How about a little Adventure-Land at night. The park closes, the guests head to the exit. All is calm... All is bright.  Nighttime lighting is truly beautiful.

Perfect...

Perfect movie for a cold winters night. Bundle up... outside there's a blizzard and the snow is piling up... There's the eerie feeling of being isolated and cut off from the rest of the world. Great time for a movie...  movie shrouded in the midst of a winter snow storm. Enjoy the movie... and don't let your imagination run away with itself. Hope y'all stay safe... both physically and emotionally.

Time...

Time continues to speed by.... looking back at the TV stars of the past. Favorites all.

United

Life here in these here United States.  Well... It's anything but united. The "It's all about Me Generation" includes the young adults and the kids of today growing up today. They are all at odds with anything and everything that doesn't conform to their way of thinking.  They all have different views and everything should be done their way. Political   religious , or personal beliefs of how everything should be. And when it's not,  they're offended and get even more vocal and forceful with their opinions. There's is no concept of "agree to disagree"  or  "live and let live"... Just the  mentality that everyone should be of the same opinion as them. They will argue until they are blue in the face and incite violence to achieve a means to an end... doing everything to force their beliefs upon others. Social media fuels the fires, news media sensationalizes it, and for some reason,  not doubt to get votes,  politicians agree with their mentality. Of course the politicians support changes more than the wind.

First childhood

First childhood.  You think about your first childhood especially when in the midst of your second childhood.... Over 60 years old.  You think about all your friends when you grew up and all the games you played together,  and all those toys.  Toys that by today's standards would be boring to miss now... But hold priceless memories from your childhood. Here's a few of those memories.

The perfect picture

The perfect picture...well... Almost... But it can be.
Ever take the perfect photo except people get in the picture ruining the a perfect shot. You see the photo once you leave the beach... Too late to get another shot. But not to worry... This little app can remove unwanted things in your photo... And just like magic... They're gone!  The app also has several other features.
Original photo
The edit
The end result.
The App.
So,  if you have need... This is a great little app.
Just saying...
Of course, you can save the original if you want to.

The 60s

Lots of fun... lots of memories... less we forget watching favorite tv shows with family and friends in glorious black & white. And as my grandkids asked, with a questioning look on their face, "what do you mean, black & white"? The explanation was beyond hope... they still didn't truly get it. Relating it to black & white photos didn't help either. Then the was the inconceivable concept of only 3 tv channels. Followed by the statement... "OMG... you are really old". I felt fairly good up until that point. So here's to memories of tv shows and times at the old HiWay Theater or Bengie's drive-in, shared with friends.

Winter wonderland

Winter wonderland.  I truly prefer warmer weather to enjoy nature,  but you can still enjoy the beauty of nature in the winter time,  even if only from the warmth of your car.  Skyline Drive is a writer wonderland of snow and ice that has a beauty all of its own. Looking over the valley below covered in snow or seeing the frozen water falls emanating from the rocks gives you quite the different perspective. And even though most trees are bare for the winter, winter magic doesn't disappoint.

Generation gap

Generation gap. We heard that phrase when we were kids back in the 1960s. We grew up differently than our parents and grandparents. But we still were taught family values and social communications skills... sometimes self taught... but we learned them. We also learned that life is not always fair and how to deal with it. We learned respect and had a sense of fair play. Live and let live was a concept that helped us enjoy a happy life. These things were carried with us through our adult life.
Today's younger generation despite the efforts of parents and grandparents turned out completely different. Perhaps a product of the electronic generation, the internet, and social interactions that mainly occur via media. Face to face, one on one interactions and the social skills that are developed through personal interactions are being lost on the current generation. The new generation gap? They are the me generation to the ultimate factor. Everything... Absolutely everything is about them. Under developed in  social skills... and a sense that anything that is not in accordance with their desires is a source of conflict... Live and let's live is a concept list on them. Therefore they are offended by almost everything,  even if it doesn't directly affect them. Even things that happened over 200 years ago. They believe life should always be fair and in their vision of what life should be. No wonder they are not able to be happy in life. Misery indeed loves company when they group together to protest whatever offends them. So what will tomorrow bring forth with the new me generation?

Safari

Safari... In the deepest wilds of the animal kingdom of central Africa, you will find the most wondrous wildlife. Among the trees and open pains of the savannah,  around every turn,  you'll see  predator and prey, and everything in between. Be prepared to get the best shot... have your camera ready. Enjoy the ride,  enjoy the view.

Digital

Digital photography...
What a marvelous time we live in today. Growing up, photographs started with that box type camera, film, processing & printing, and you ended up with a print in black & white. Every print cost money, so the amount of photos you took was limited,  usually very limited. And if they stood the test of time,  they were later found in an old shoe box or a heavy photo album in a dusty old chest or box.
Today,  is all digital,  high resolution,  stored on your computer and in the cloud ( I'm still searching the sky to find my cloud). Copies are made and shared with the click of a button. Yep, compared to the old box camera & film... It is certainly a wonderous age for photography. So unless you're over 30, digital photography is certainly taken for granted. Of course my roots go back 60 years. Sometimes I'm still amazed.
