VIP vs Money.
Years ago, VIP status guests were always at Disney, afforded all sorts of privileges and benefits, but it was very inconspicuous, and little was know about it.
Times have changed, and money rules openly, and privileges & benefits can be bought by anyone under the right situations. Fast passes and preferred seating is available to anyone with money to buy them. And what better way for Disney to make extra money than to sell privileges. Guests staying on Club Level can now buy these privileges. Guess that's why the average guest spends more & more time waiting in attraction lines. I liked it much better when those VIP privileges were much lesser, not openly bought, and for the most part, everyone was mostly on a level playing field for fast passes and seating. Times have changed. Here's an article from a Facebook page about Disney.
