Road trip.... a bit of a drive but worth the distance. North of Baltimore, five miles off of interstate 83 in Upperco, Maryland is a farm restaurant out in the country. Friendly Farms Restaurant... family style dining. You get your main meat / seafood dish and everything else is served family style. The sides are refilled for as much as you care to enjoy. Pleasant atmosphere in the country, friendly staff, and the food is outstanding. We can not go there without getting crab cake platter. The food chicken is also very good. The sides... Homemade cold slaw, beets, green beans or corn, cottage cheese, apple butter, fried biscuits, peaches, celery/pickle dish, and fresh cut french fries. Great for the whole family. Just close your eyes, take a bite, and enjoy. Yum. It's a short walk to the pond... Take a little something to feed the ducks.... rounds out the whole experience.
