[ Just a short trip down memory lane ] .
Got a light? Originally called “torches” … flashlights of the 1930’s & 1940’s.
Why “torches”? … because hey were the very next step in portable lighting
just beyond actual flaming torches, aside from candle, and they didn’t blow out.
They were handy but barely gave off more light then a candle.
I remember my grandfather having one of those
slide switch to turn on… button for momentary light.
Probably about 3 lumens…
today’s LED’s range from 100 –500 lumens.
Wow… what we have seen in our lifetime.
