Bingo? … kinda. Nightmare? … kinda. All night bad tiring, wear me out dream? … YES!! Sometimes ya get those dreams that go on all night long.. you’re doing something in the dreams that wants to wear you out because it keeps going all night long. I can look back at it this morning and call it…. “Halloween Nightmare Bingo”. Not absolutely a nightmare, and not exactly bingo. Well, here’s how it went. It all started with the Halloween Bingo card. Looks innocent enough… right?
It went decidedly wrong from that point on. Every time you got a “match” on your card, you had to undergo a quest as it were, a “task of terror”, be it a ride, a maze, or a journey into the dark unknown… encountering witches, ghosts, goblins and demons of all sorts. Each trying to make you fail your quest. If you failed, you couldn’t mark off the space and you’d have to do the quest again. If you passed the quest, you got to mark it off and continue in the game. Just a quick note… you will come to realize that you will NEVER finish the game. Did I mention that it takes place in a haunted water park? … sound a bit familiar? There was lazy river of scary water creatures, a trail filled with pits and “dead” ends, a maze completely consumed by darkness and things that go bump in the night, countless ghosts and ghouls impeding your progress. Were are Sam & Dean when you need them? Demons with red eyes, black eyes, and some with normal eyes, but pointy teeth. Growling hell hounds and lots of creatures that crawled and slithered from the dark reaches of the mind. Some things that looked innocent enough, but turned into monsters of all sorts. I ran and worked all night in my dreams to finish and get to the end… and never did… no doubt to be continue some time in the future. Please note… I didn’t even watch any scary movies this week… so Idoeno where it all came from. But gee… I can’t wait to do it all again. And , Yes, I’m being sarcastic. So after a night of restless sleep… I think a nap is in order. Perhaps a nice nap going to sleep with music from a Disney movie… something light and cheerful and happy. And you thought you were the only one with dreams like this… or at least I find comfort in thinking y’all have them too… and I’m not the only one. If not, please don’t tell me different… I don’t want to know!
