World Events
Perspectives...

Mostly Everyones perspective is along political lines. Remove the political aspect / influence / blindly follow the political rhetoric... the security of any country including the USA is to limit the potential of all out war with potentially threating countries like China or its potential allies against America. Hard decisions now to keep other countries in "check" that would be a much larger threat later.
I've often considered the world financial situation  where China is the biggest threat to us and our allies. China gets billions of american dollars for goods they produce sold here in America which they use to build their military might. Red Flag? Just saying.
Of course the question... at what point does the events of "checking" others countries become intrusive enough where they retaliate and it actually starts a potential all out war?
Call it human nature or power hungry world leaders, war is a winner take all situation and agenda. There has been and always will be the wars for this reason. Wouldn't it be more logical to work together for the benefit of all... but that's not human nature or the mind set of power hungry leaders that would go to war to have everything, while destroying much. History always repeats itself. Countries come and go via wars. Too many world leaders want to dominate the world. Dare I say a Hitler mentality?  But where's the line between self preservation,  "checking" other countries to limit their power, and controling the world. Cross that line... and war is not averted... but is a result.
And while many countries have nuclear capabilities for war in which all is lost... the conventional non nuclear war is stll a real threat within the super powers.
