Life in Farm Country...
Farmers are preparing the fields for spring crops.
Feed corn, soybeans, and grasses for feed.
Peace and quiet away from city traffic,
ten miles to the nearest small town.
If the wind is blowing in the right direction ya might here the cows mooing... or hear a distant train whistle.
Total peace and quiet.
Maybe 2-3 times a month we'll see a high flying airplane.
Yep... Middle of nowhere...
But a nice nowhere.
Half the time we're lucky the post office finds us.
Btw... if they are short handed they will skip
that days delivery. Or if running late, and it gets dark, they'll get you the next day.
You would think that being in the middle of farm country that we would have lots of fresh produce... tomatoes, corn, and veggies... but nope... still have to go to the super market... aka... Walmart.
The only other disadvantage... country road, one lane each way... and you will get stuck behind a farm tractor etc, and go 25 mph for 6-9 miles... arggg!
