Wilderness Lodge that is. It's hard to pick an absolute favorite Disney resort to stay at. There's Animal Kingdom lodge, Port Orleans Riverside, and Wilderness Lodge are at the top of the list. But I'd have to say that overall the Wilderness Lodge takes our top vote.
It's a beautiful resort Modeled after Old Faithful Lodge in Yellowstone national park. But I'd have to think that going to Old Faithful Lodge would be somewhat of a let down after Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Not only is the lodge a beautiful place to stay with a wonderful atmosphere inside and out, but there are several perks to the lodge. There's easy boat transport directly to Magic Kingdom and back to the lodge. Relaxing boat transportation that's quick and easy at park closing... While there's long lines at the monorail and busses. Of course bus transportation from Magic Kingdom at closing is much quicker than to other resorts... especially the economy resorts that have much longer lines and waits. Busses for premium resorts run more often... Less wait times. The bus stop at the front of the lodge is convenient for getting to the other parks. Beautiful and relaxing... Perfect atmosphere.
