How far we have come

How far we have come... my grandparents grew up still in the golden age of the telegraph. Then, old wall phones made of  wooden hung on the kitchen wall, and needed an operator to assist with all calls. 
Later came the "dial" phone, where you could make local calls all on your own. Long distance calls required operator assistance. 
And yes, back then you could even dial a number to get the time and weather. 
Funny...looking back...
Yep... I can remember numbers from 60 years ago, and not what I did yesterday. 
I remember calling "time"... 
"At the tone, the time will be 7:01 & 30 seconds" ... "beep".
You could also call for weather too.
