Fantasy & Imagination.
Growing up in the middle of the last century... yes... I'm that old... we didn't have all the electronic stuff that kids have today. We had a housebound radio, and a TV that got 3 channels in black & white only. The games we played and toys we played with only came to life with our imaginations. There were no video games, and no video anything for that matter. Imagination ruled... You could make believe and have fun with anything. With a couple of toy props you could be anything and go anywhere. Sure is different today... and while everything electronic sets the stage in spectacular fashion, I can't help but feel the we grew up better because we had to develop our own imagination which wa seed limitless. A stick sword could make you a pirate, a swashbuckler, or a knight in shiny armor. Today it's all created for them ... And when left on their own, without electronics, well, they are lost and bored... Imagination to amuse themselves is not part of the picture.
Nevertheless, it was great to grow up when imagination & fantasy was a big part of childhood... which we carried with us the rest of our life. Stay enchanted!
