Just another sign of getting older.
1. Ya don't like change.... any change.
However...
2. Change must be practical
3. Change should be something better.
Of course it's all about perspective.
Disney is on a massive construction / reconstruction program. Most is for the better... but some things simply being up questions starting with question number one...why? If something is perfectly good, why replace it... why not spend money on something additional to enhance guest experience. Of lately the entrance to Magic Kingdom Tomorrowland. Personally I like the entrance in the photo on top ... but it was replaced by the new entrance (the bottom photo). It's all under the pretense of a fresh look ... I guess so... if they say so. But I still like the old entrance better... personal preference. Kinda like years ago when they took out the twin waterfalls at the entrance to tomorrowland and replaced them with boulders/rocks. I failed to see the improvement.
It's all about perspective an memories. The longer you've visited Disney, the more memories you've made over time. When something is replaced of removed it chips away at those memories...and Disney is always changing or removing something. We would always take photos of grandkids at Mickey's & Minnie's houses as the kids grew older... Year after year.. gone. We always took family photos by the Epcot fountain... gone. We always enjoyed the Magic Kingdom night time parades, especially SpectroMagic...gone. Family traditions drift away with the changes... kinda like the hallway door trim board that marked the kids height as they grew, and all the other memories in the old house... gone after you moved. So some changes will never be appreciated. To new and younger guests, past & recent changes won't matter, they were never there to miss the past. Just my thoughts.
