Disney changes

Changes at Disney.
There will always be changes. Some things are gone,  some things are going,  and new things are an ongoing development. Shows, attractions, and even physical building and features come and go. Nothing new about this.
But as you get older and have experienced my years at Disney, the changes for what was once a great memory is disappearing... and with the current expansion and reconstruction explosion... lots of things are disappearing. For me, too many things.
New things are great, but so many things are seemingly being torn down to create new attractions. I guess the older you get,  the less you like change. Adding to at the expense of tearing down.. it seems the it would cost less to simply build new as additions, not replacements.
I have to conclude that all the changes are more to the benefit and enjoyment for the younger new generation of guests that will not only enjoy it all, new and old, without the negative memories of so many things that disappeared over the years.
The latest demolition to build a new Epcot future world is just another example of what is soon to be gone. Most of the central hub is being torn down... It's also rumored that most of "the land" is slated for the same demolition / reconstruction.
I done posts on things gone from Disney... some simply eliminated without replacement. Like the night time SpectroMagic Parade at Magic Kingdom.
Each year we would take family photos in front of different Disney locations... year after year to see the family grow up.  The fountains of the world in Epcot was one of those locations... now gone. So was the Mickey Sorcerer's hat at Studios ... gone! We took photos of the grandgirls at Mickeys & Minnies houses year after year as they grew up... gone. Traditions... gone. At least the castle is still there.
The new generation will never know once was... The older generation is by nature going to go to Disney less and less... Accelerated by the the loss of more and more  things that were part of our cherished memories.
BTW... The new Star Wars was a bright spot for new attractions. Out with the old, in with the new. Demolition /reconstruction... the new world for the new generation.
