Camping Christmas

Camping Christmas 🎅
Disney does a great job of decorating the parks and the resorts. If you are visiting during December,  and have the extra time one evening,  take a boat over to the Fort Wilderness Campground. The campground itself is decorated nice by Disney with a semi wonderful economy... The real attraction is the rv / camping sites occupied and decorated by guests. Many return year after year and have ever increasing lighted Christmas displays at their sites. It's a Christmas wonderland at night, done entirely by the guests. It's an attraction to itself that even out does disneys best efforts in the campground.  You can take a boat to get there from Magic Kingdom or the Polynesian,  Floridian, Contemporary,  or Wilderness Lodge. Most of the decorated site are in the low 100s just up front the boat dock. You could take a bus to get there,  but then have to catch an internal bus to get to the other end of the campground.  It's a great choice for a relaxing evening, and you could have dinner at Crockets Tavern or enjoy the Hoop-d-do dinner show.  You don't have to be staying in the campground to visit.  And if Magic Kingdom is open late,  you could return to the park to close out the evening. Of course, if you are staying in the campground,  all the better.
