Time Capsule

new_sally2

There are several ways to do a time capsule… traditional: put it in a can, burry it, and mark it. Everything on a Hard Drive… no limitations on space, but just photos of things. And then there’s the internet… or up in the cloud… or if you prefer a blog. There are several reasons why I do my blog… one of them is like a time capsule of sorts. Aside from keeping in touch with family and friends, I always thought it would be nice to leave some information about myself in sort of a time capsule, for later generations to see, starting with the grand girls. Now, traditional time capsules have limited space… and a blog is virtually unlimited. But then again a time capsule is sealed for so many years, and then opened sometime later. So a blog seems to be much more useful… keep in touch with everyone now, tomorrow, and months and years to come… plus something for later generations to see. To see and learn more about me when they are older and more interested and have questions. There are so many things about my parents and grand parents that I don’t know… before I got old enough to want to know… they were gone. Just thought it might be nice to have something for them to look back on later. Fun for me while I’m doing my blog, hopefully fun and interesting for family and friends now… and something for later generations. Not a whole lot of personal consolation for me if I’m gone, but hopefully a part of me to live on in them. So here’s my time capsule… or at least as long as the internet is still accessible in years to come. For y’all now… for them later. Sometimes it’s a nice thought. While I have no plans on departing this earth anytime soon… but, ya never really know.
