News Media... just how much of it is important news?
News Media... just how much of it is important news? Guess that's a personal perspective thing. As for me, not very much at all. Okay, first off, usually what might be important enough to affect me is usually bad and out of my control, it's just bad news to try to worry me. Then there's the speculation of bad things to come, to just worry me. Then there's the twisted, one sided, out of context bad news, which only serves to worry me. And the "holy shit" news that shouldn't worry anybody, but it sensationalized and dramatized so that we all feel that doom is imminent. Then there's the inflated crisis that will horrendously affect us all, so that we will concentrate in it, rather the cover up that's being perpetrated to conceal wrongdoings. Then the outright lies indented to deceive, for others personal reasons. Then the more important than anything else in the world non-issues that the media needs to simply exaggerate just to have an important story to report, or more usually, to incite one group against another, due to some great injustice, which really didn't happen. Then there's the nothings happening news, so lets just stir up trouble and see what happens news. Then the news about how some guy made a weapon, and the news tells you in detail how they did it so other morons will do it to. I use to think that politicians and lawyers were amongst the worst, and as a whole they are... need to ad the news media into the pot. So many useless, needless, stories twisted, sensationalized and dramatized, just to make the news more gripping. Perhaps they descended from carnies and other flimflam artists. Yep, the 60 minutes of news... 20 minutes of commercials, 25 minutes of how could it be any less important information, 10 minutes of outright incomplete stories ( only part of the news, the parts they want you to hear), 18 minutes of news intended to twist your perspective on the truth, 10 minutes of misconceptions told in such a way as to evade the truth, and another 15 minutes of just plain stupid shit. Sorry, no other way to express it... stupid shit. 20 minutes to incite worry or near panic. 10 minutes intended to muddy the waters, and to everyone's good spirit, a 2 minute truthful human interest story about something good that happened. But wait, that adds up to much more than 60 minutes... the bad stuff all overlaps... for dramatic effect.
