Future Bound. As advancements occur in leaps and bounds it just may be possible, that we might see in our lifetime, advanced space exploration and travel. After all… my grandfather grew up when horse and buggy’s were still in wide spread use. He saw the advent of the car and airplane. And my parents saw improvements and advancements in almost everything. We saw space travel to the moon, computers, and electronic marvels of all kinds… and enough dreams to keep mankind busy for the next hundred years… although I believe that achievements will someday outpace dreams in the near future. Dreams and science fiction was 100-200 years ahead of it’s time… that may be replaced and improved upon in mere 20 years, verses 200 years. All it needs is a few sparks of genius and discovery. “Blue Energy”… “Anti-Gravitation” … “Magnetic Propulsion” … and the normal evolution of knowledge will go from hundreds of years to mere decades. Large scale ships designed for space travel will be built on the ground and effortlessly take to the stars perhaps even in the near future.
Something to dream about. “Unlimited Energy Sources”… coupled with “Anti-Gravitation” and “Magnetic Propulsion” will make travel unlimited.
Even the bigger than life Star Ship Enterprise doesn’t seem to be too big to achieve.
Bigger than life achievements made easy and simple. Kinda like when men took to the seas in great wooden boats to discover new lands. Wish I could be around to see that. I’m sure that someday they will discover how to alter genes so that body cells and organs can regenerate almost forever… life expectancy will go to 200 years… and health issues will be eliminated to almost nothing.
To say that knowledge will advance by leaps and bounds… well… if history always repeats it’s self… the advancement in knowledge is increasing at a expediential rate. Everything in the last 50 years has surpassed the previous 200 years, which surpassed the previous 1000 years. Knowledge is coming faster and faster… and a single spark of discovery will leap us forward 100’s of years again. Maybe it will be the result of rediscovering knowledge lost from 10,000 years ago… maybe the intervention of other intelligences… But it’s surely coming. Star Trek and exploration of Space will be as easy as crossing the Ocean… it will just be bigger.
It would be a wonderful thought if mankind could just stop the mindless fighting among it’s self, and work to the common good without greed, corruption, and persecution. But maybe that’s gonna be the main reason for going to space… just like when they came to America… the hopes of leaving all the bad behind… and finding a new life… this time out in the stars… which may itself may only be an illusion of a dream.
But it never hurts to dream of a better life. Dreams give way to hope. Hope encourages change.
Just a little though of the day… and a little daydreaming… of what will be… someday.
