Finishing 2010…. beginning 2011. The year 2010 finishes on a positive note. Lots of good times, some challenging times, and some minor setbacks. Our greatest joy was that we got to spend a lot of time with the three grand-daughters Kayla, Brianna, and Lizzi during the summer, and had some good quality time with Brandi and the rest of family. Sharing good times with friends is also high on the making memories list. Thousands of photos all capturing hundreds of memories… frozen in time. Family, old friends, new friends, and lots of good times. We finished our 3rd and final season at Lake Ridge Resort and will certainly miss all the friends we made there. Being at Disney last spring and again this fall & winter, as always, is filled with goods times, good friends, and great memories. Returning to Disney gives us a chance to reconnect with rving friends that are here for the winter. Finishing up 2010 has been wonderful… all the Disney Holiday Decorations, Holiday Shows, Christmas Parades and of course Special Holiday Fireworks. Two thousand and eleven will start off in the same great way… not with the holiday stuff… but never the less great. Monday, January 3rd we pick of Brianna so she can complete here Disney vacation from last spring, which was cut short. She will be with us until sometime in April… what a wonderful time we will have with her. Shelly’s brother Nick and his partner Michael will come down to visit mid January… another great time to create memories that will last forever. Later this spring friends from Sunset King will come for a Disney visit and as in the past, it will be a great reunion of friends once again. It’s always great to be at Disney… working hours for seasonal cast members is still at a premium at least at the Hotel Resorts. More hours are available at the parks, but we like it where we are at, and it gives us that much more time to play. How it works… we can work or we can play… the less we work, the more we play! Just can’t seem to get enough Disney… and doing it with Brianna will make it all anew again. Seeing everything through the eyes of a child. Seeing her smile and laugh at every new adventure…. Priceless! So we have been playing since October… also priceless. Why priceless? I get to share all my fun time with the Love of My Life… Shelly. Always such a joy to do things together. Playtime at Disney will end in April after 7 months and we will travel to Texas for new jobs at an Rv Resort near Houston.
We will be there for the summer, fall, and next winter doing activities, arts & crafts, and anything else that can add to our Rving experience. It was once said that if you are doing what you like, than you will never have to work a day in your life… this started for us 5 years ago… working for Disney and doing Activities in Rv Resorts. We will certainly miss family and friends while being in Texas… but will be with some old friends, make new friends, have new experiences, and that is the nature of Rving. When you see old friends once again, you pick right up where you left off, no mater the time apart… and that too is the nature of Rving. A Life on the Road… Priceless. Never the same old, same old. New places, new faces, new adventures. Wow… we have been full-time rving for 7½ years… time goes by so quickly… especially when you enjoy every minute of it! So here’s to 2011… off to a great start with great expectations! Happy New Year to All! To our Rving friends… if you’re passing by the Houston area… drop on by for a visit… we’d love to see you once again.
