Disclaimer: This entry is to merely evoke the thought process. Not to provoke, attack, or persuade. Just to offer a thinking alternative. So if you are easily offended or easily on the defensive about religion… perhaps this light hearted look at things from a different angle is not for you. If you have a more open, light hearted mind, please read on… this is not a serious life changing debate. Rather meant to be just an amusing look at things from a different point of view.
Evidence of facts and truth… who knows. Conspiracy, cover-ups, superstitions, folk lore, some truth, no truth, hoax, who knows. One can only say that scientists only believe facts and evidence, and there always seems to be a lack of hard evidence when talking this particular topic. Despite the fact that there are plenty of human records left behind all over the world that all tell the same story. They all believe that they have been visited by beings, not of this planet, in the past early history of humanity. They were perceived as Gods because of their advanced abilities compared to that of humanity, which were still very limited. Could all these different people of the world, scattered all over the globe, believe and leave records behind of the same occurrences and have it not be true? Could hundreds of people & locations, isolated from each other, contrive the same story as being factual, when it didn’t really happen or exist… probably not likely… all these writings of stories and beliefs are based on something factual that they experienced.
Looking at it from another view point, belief in things that are not physically tangible and able to be examined to provide positive scientific proof that something happened or existed is nothing more than just that, a believe or folk fore. But never the less, we as humans believe strongly in such things that can not be proved or disproved… and to us they exist, and are indeed factual because we believe it to be true. These beliefs themselves are perceived differently by the two groups… scientists that observe everything via evidence, and the rest of us that mostly believe things to be true on thoughts and feelings (rather than evidence). These beliefs basically fall into two categories. One, the writings left behind by ancient peoples expressing their beliefs and experiences, which can not be scientifically proven to be factual, and are therefore dismissed as only a belief that can not be proven to be real. Two, the writings left behind by ancient peoples expressing their beliefs and experiences, which again cannot be scientifically proven to be factual, but are believed to be true as based on various religions… and are therefore accepted as true.
As you can see, this line of thought could open up heated discussions about beliefs… religious or otherwise. This entry is not to debate or persuade… everyone is entitled to their beliefs without someone trying to change them. I just find it more and more curious that the beliefs about ancient visitors to this planet, early in human history, are so easily and totally dismissed as simply folk fore, imagination, or just stories, as more and more written evidence is uncovered from the past. Religious censorship which include certain writings, and censored others, from the same sources, well, someone else got to decide long ago what they thought was truthful & factual, and what was not, and made that decision that has effected religions all over the world.
Government & Religious cover-ups and conspiracy, well, that’s human nature, to advance one’s personal or groups particular agenda, and suppress anything that opposes it. And now, after hundreds of years, they certainly don’t want anything to upset the apple cart so to speak, and rewrite history as we know it. Do we find writings and drawings that convey ancient experiences that contradict current beliefs… yes… are they dismissed as folk lore with no basic in fact… yes… does anyone think that governments or religions would suppress or hide evidence that they deem to be detrimental to the common good or their interests as they see it… you bet ya! So who really knows… certainly no one today. Believe what you will, and perhaps be open minded to information that may change your way of thinking. Facts, Truth, Evidence, Beliefs… who really knows. The only thing I can say for sure is that as more and more facts and evidence come to light, they will have a profound effect on current beliefs and what we once thought to be true. Either everything is as we thought, or everything will change, more likely the later. The more research programs we watch, the more discoveries from the past, the interpretations of the evidence, the conclusions based on the facts… well… everything is open for review… some things are wrong, some are right, and will some things we only thought remotely possible may be proven true. Who Knows? This is All just something to think about. Take from it what you will. All, some, or none. That’s the beauty of it, it’s up to you what you think, believe, and draw your own conclusions… at least until cold hard facts and evidence hit you squarely in the face.
Have you every wondered why there was so many “leaps” in knowledge or ability beyond the normal lines of progress in the human past? Wondered how something was built when it would be almost impossible to do it with today’s technology? Ever wonder how knowledge that spanned several hundred years, or even thousands of years, was correlated into one stream of knowledge by ancient humans, and than lost until modern times? Wonder how knowledge was possessed and something was accomplished or built and than this knowledge was lost and forgotten into time? Wonder why more written evidence is discovered to only have it dismissed because it doesn’t fit accepted “beliefs”? Think that with all the billions upon billions of possibilities that exist in the universe and beyond, that we are the only possible intelligent life forms? How some written text (evidence) is considered truth and gospel and widely accepted, while other written text, sometimes from the same source, is easily dismissed? Someone or some group from our past, looked at all the evidence, took what they wanted from it, secluded what they didn’t want, and made the decision as to what they wanted to believe and pass down to generations, what they should also believe. When evidence, the same kind of evidence, is newly discovered, and it is not in the mainstream of thinking, it is dismissed and discredited… and when the evidence is too strong or compelling that it might overturn the teachings and what they want us to believe… it’s covered up, destroyed, or hidden away.
Just think of all the records that the Spanish destroyed in central America… hundreds if not thousands of years or recorded human history and experience… all to preserve their religious beliefs and eradicate anything that opposed it. How did the Egyptians build failing pyramids, than build three great pyramids (as well as other structures), than loose the knowledge, and could not repeat the process again? Perhaps the great structures where already there, built by someone else from another time, and simply all their attempts to duplicate were all failures. They used and adapted those structures for their own uses, and despite lack of records from the past, claimed them as there own creations. Just because they made used of the pre-existing pyramids in their time for the kings of Egypt, may not mean that they built them. If modern man almost became extinct, and current records were lost, would those remaining that survived, returned someday to inhabit current buildings and their later descendants believe that they built those buildings… all possible. Just something to think about.
How would modern beliefs and religion be affected if evidence came to light that could change everything? What would the response be if we discovered that we were not alone? How would the world change if we were visited again? COMPLETELY !!! I don’t expect that any great revelations will be revealed in my lifetime, and if it did, I fully expect that it would be covered up if possible. But there has to be much more to the story. Religious text has an ancient basis in fact and human experience, and all predict a returning God. God brought peace, prosperity, wellbeing, and human advancement, than a return would to this Earth would certainly be welcomed… we are certainly in need of it.
Both sides of the coin:
Scientifically - Beings not of this world don’t exist, have never been here, therefore can not ever return. No scientific proof, only text from ancient civilizations. Leaps in human achievement and knowledge in the past is unexplained.
Religiously – Beings (however perceived … God, Gods, or Angels) once visited the Earth, taught mankind, influenced mankind, helped mankind, and promised a return someday. Same source… text from ancient civilizations.
Same sources… different conclusions and interpretations… overlapping beliefs… conflicting beliefs.
Perhaps someday… Truth and Facts of human history will no longer be just unproven beliefs and conjecture. All hidden agendas, cover ups, untruths, misconceptions, and conspiracies will be laid to rest. But even this, seems improbable.
To only believe what you personally see or discover is still not even 100%… to believe what others present… no matter the source… always questionable. One persons agenda is certainly questionable, one groups agenda is also questionable, any governments agenda is extremely questionable, so I guess if there are many independent sources offering the same findings… well… they might just be the most reliable source… but who knows. Hope you enjoy a little conjecture. Here’s to one day… knowing all. And perhaps one more piece to the evidence puzzle that was supposedly tucked away by the government or who ever.
