We started coming to Disney World in 2004.
I had been here several times before, but it was Shelly's first visit... and our first time here together! How magical to see her face when seeing everything for the first time. Who knew where it would go from here. We got Florida annual passes our first year here. They cost $299 each and got us into the 4 parks anytime, and as much as we wanted to for a whole year... and included the parking fee. This was less than the cost of a 1 week park hopper... and we got the whole year! The first year was unbelievably great... what great memories. In 2005, we discovered the joys of being cast members at Disney. We got positions in Disney's Animal Kingdom and enjoyed being seasonal cast members. Being seasonal meant that after the initial season (4 months), we could basically come and go as we pleased so long as we returned before being gone for 1 year.
So we could travel in the Rv and still come back to Disney when ever we wanted to. This year we are finishing our 6 season with Disney. We are currently working at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. Being cast members at Disney has been a great experience for us. The pay is nothing to write home about, but the perks are great. As Cast Members, we each get: Id's to get ourselves into the parks anytime - personal discounts on dining & merchandise - 6 Main Gates passes to get up to 3 people in at a time - 2 park hopper passes to give away - holiday passes to get an additional
3 people into the parks - special holiday discounts ( this year 50% ) - and bonus passes to get ourselves and friends into the water parks, Disney Quest, and Disney Mini Golf. All in all... passes to get about 50 people into the parks per year. Wow... what a great benefit for you, family, and friends. Working for the Mouse is not for everyone... but it certainly has been great for us. This year we only had to return and work a total of 40 hours each to maintain all of our benefits & passes. How great is that! Great job, great benefits, and all while we are having fun!
