Discrimination

Discrimination unfortunately is still an issue. It's seems amazing to me that so many things that are perpetrating exactly what they're trying to eliminate.  Take you're pick as to the nature of discrimination... Be it religious, political, ethnic, sexual orientation, or social status.  It could even be related to where you live. And as most people try to fight discrimination they develop countless issues that further separate and socially divide all of us.  Social media and politicians add to the social division in the way that they report the news, as well as how they emphasize certain issues while playing down or not reporting the same issues involving other groups. Is one ethnic group really experiencing more discrimination than others? Or does the manner in which it is reported make it seem that way? No discrimination should be tolerated... But no one group can claim their experience is worse than others. And how does the argument that a certain ethnic group deserves more compensation because ancestors, 200 years ago were treated inhumanely. Too many times the old addage ... " the pot calling the kettle black" applies to those shouting that they deserve special considerstion. Discrimination will probably never be eliminated due to the mind set as one generation perpetrates and passes it down to the Next Generation. Then there's the result that as the focus centers on discrimination, the attitude that society owes any one group special exclusive consideration ... well, it all gets old... and leads to more social division and apathy.
Typical media reporting :
White on white crime... They never mention ethnics.
Black on black crime... They never mention ethnics.
Black on white crime... They never mention ethnics.
BUT...
white on black crime is reported and emphasized as discrimination.
No wonder so many are simply fed up hearing this type of reporting.

How much credibility is given to those that don't get what they want,  or are offended by everything, and blame discrimination for their unfair life. Life by nature is not always gonna be everything you want.  Blaming it all on discrimination is not always valid.

Didn't get the job you wanted?  ... Blame it on ethnic discrimination.
Didn't get the job I wanted... Someone with less experience and ability got the job due to  "affirmative action" ... a government program to compensate ethnic groups for past discrimination issues.  An off the record interview stated the following: promotion considerations priorities irregardless of abilities ... 1. Black women. 2  Black men.  3. Minority women. 4. White women.  5. Minority men. 6. White men.
Reverse discrimination? All adding to social ethnic division.

Discrimination is ulgy for everyone,  not just any one group.
Sad to say... It will only get better in small increments.
Two small steps forward... One giant step back.

Too many issues promote social division leading to exaggerated claims discrimination.  It is self-perpetuating.... never ending.

Well,  that's just my thoughts.  My perspective.
Take from it what you will,  believe as you will.
