Every weekday evening he come into our homes to entertain, test out knowledge, educate us in world events and history... not to mention the simple fun of it all. Including the momentary feeling of being smarter than the contestants when you got the answer right, and they all got it wrong... at least until the next question, when you didn't have the faintest clue.
The final episode with Alex will air on Christmas day... indeed as sad moment.
So who's gonna replace Alex. Apparently there's a list of possible new hosts. Ken Jennings has my vote.

And George... I sincerely hope not. I use to like him until the last 4 years when his whole professional life revolved around political turmoil, and extreme political bias. I clearly remember when reporters presented the news in its entirety without entreme bias. Where you had all the information to make a decision on your own without someone telling you what to believe. But I digress... George... no!
But it certainly seems that Ken Jennings is the most likely and most favored choice.
