On the road

On the road.  The year was 2003, we retired from my good paying jobs,  sold the house,  bought the rv of our dreams, and drove off into the proverbial sunset.  Family,  friends, and people thought we were crazy. Then came the questions searching for answers that would or could possibly explain this seemingly insane decision.
Where would you stay,  Walmart parking lots?
Sleep in an rv without heat or air conditioning?
Where would you clean up,  gas station restrooms?
Use public restrooms every where?
Would you have a tv or just a radio?
How would you cook meals?
What would you do for water and electric?
How would you get mail?
Like I said,  every question imaginable to somehow come to grips on how we're were going to live.
So we're compiled a little picture book to not only explain but show what exactly what it would be like so they could see for themselves.
First,  the big truck and the big fifth wheel rv trailer with 3 slide out rooms for extra living space.  Then photos of the inside.
Spacious living room with sofa, two rocket recliners, coffee table,  entertainment center, and fireplace. Full kitchen with refrigerator with ice maker, stove, oven, microwave, sinks, cabinets and pantry, complete with dining table and chairs. Full bathroom with sink, shower, and toilet. Bedroom with king sleep number bed, built in closet and drawers.
Running water supply, two heat furnaces, and two roof air conditioners. Entertainment system with surround sound, satellite TV, internet, computer station, dvd recorder player,  radio, and playstation. All powered by generator or land lines in resorts with 100 amp service. Electric lights and 12volt lighting systems. Propane cooking and hot water heater. Whole house ventilation fans, insulated mirrored windows with screens, all fully accessorized with carpeting, tile floors, area rugs, curtains & blinds.
All the comforts of home,  just mobile. Go anywhere you want, stay as long as you like, and move on to new places & new adventures.
Well, I don't think I left anything out.
Now I think they really get it... All questions answered.
Here's a few pics of our rving life on the road. Some places were campgrounds and some were rv resorts. Complete with swimming pools,  club houses, and activities, some were in the mountains, some on the beach, some on lakes, and some simply in the quiet of the woods & countryside.
