Mankind divided. If in fact that God, or gods, returned from the heavens to see how mankind has evolved... they would certainly see a lot of failures. In that religious, political, and social divisions create everything negative about what we think is the lofty ideas of what humans aspire to be.
The list....
* All the different religions in the world with all their different beliefs.
* Political differences inspired by power and greed.
* Individuals driven by power and greed.
* Social & cultural differences that don't tolerate each other.
* Inability to live & let live.
* Inability to simply agree to disagree.
* The need to force your beliefs upon others.
* Criminal deviants that prey on society.
* Corruption in business & government.
* Sociopaths with no regard for human life.
* Those forcing their version of morality and beliefs upon others.

So how would God or the Gods see humans as anything but a failed experiment... or at least in part. Who is worth saving? What would and should be done with the rest?
And if viewed as a whole...are we a species worth saving? Probably not.
And if viewed as a whole...are we a species worth saving? Probably not.
Question... what will save humanity? Religion? The world wide track record over the centuries would indicate that religions have proven themselves to blame for a good portion of the worlds problems. Millions have died in the name of religions... there are no exceptions. Power, greed, and corruption complete the picture. Criminals add to the downfall of the human experiment. War is a ongoing nature of human development.
It's been theorized that there has been several extensions of human evolution over the eons. Extensions by nature or gods to cleanse the previous versions of mankind, making room for the new and improved versions as it were.
New and improved versions... entirely questionable.
Yet for the most part, mankind remains divided in every aspect of existence.
By any standards... Failing as a species.

So, what will be the next evolution of mankind? And, will we be around to see it?
Or will the current failed version be cleansed to make way for the next version of human development?
Or will the current failed version be cleansed to make way for the next version of human development?
So much for the reality check.
