In a galaxy...

In a galaxy not so far away and happening as we speak.... Star Wars... much anticipated attraction, is taking shape at Disney. Certainty a much anticipated major attraction filled with hype and hopes. No doubt the biggest single themed attraction in size and scope... not to mention technical achievements. The movies were blockbusters, and so well the openings of The Star Wars attractions. Anticipation of how big is basically off the charts. The 5-6 hour wait times for Toy Story will no doubt be shattered.  To me this is  inconceivable that people would wait this long for any attraction... but they do... and they will. And the Star Wars opening is gonna be monstrous beyond belief. There are already bonafide rumors of what Disney will do to try to control the overwhelming crowds... so that enjoying the attraction will not be such a burden. Rumors include selling pre-opening pass prior to the general public opening. In addition, once open to the public, Disney will sell fast passes to avoid the excessive waits in the standby lines, which are expected to exceed the 6 hour range. These passes will come at a premium price which is no surprise.  The price of admission to the parks is becoming the experience of the common people, and those that can pay for premium perks and benefits shall have the VIP experience. And as I've said in the past, the playing field as it relates to general admission, is becoming more and more obscure favoring those with the ability to buy extra privileges.  Nevertheless, Star Wars will perhaps be the biggest thing to hit Disney since opening a new park. Indications of its spectacular grandeur will not be fully realized until you experience it in person. Star War fans will, despite the cost in time or money, flock to have enjoy this one of a kind experience. Can't wait to see the final results of opening... but for myself, it will be from a place far, far, away from the excitement and the monstrous crowds.
Here's some posts from some of my favorite Facebook sites... very informative.
