Another New Year…

Another New Year is at hand. It’s true what they say… time does go by faster as you get older. Seems like it was only a couple of years ago that I retired from that 30 year job… and it’s soon to be 8 years. 20100326 (215) It’s also true that time flies by fast when you’re having fun. Looking back at 2010… it’s almost gone. Lots of great memories… lots of good times. Having good times with family and friends ranks at he top of each years list. There are too many memories to mention here, less the fear of forgetting to mention anyone in particular… but you all know who you are and always remember that you will always be a special part of our lives. Lets just say that doing things with family and friends are the moments that make for lasting memories. I will single out one thing above all else… okay maybe two. I have enjoyed all my time spent with my Sweetie and Love of My Life… Shelly. Words can not express the happiness I feel seeing her everyday… seeing her smile… hearing her laugh… doing things together… yep… even after 7½ years of 24/7/365… living a life on the road on our Rv. The second highlight of my year is having one of our grand daughters with us for part of the year and taking them to Disney for an extended vacation. In 2009 we had Kayla for a 10 week vacation to Disney, Seaworld, & Myrtle Beach and had lots of great fun and memories. 2010 we had Brianna for a couple of weeks in the spring for a Disney vacation and had both Kayla & Brianna for several weeks of summer vacation. 2011 will start off by having Brianna to finish her vacation Disney Vacation. 20101204 (70)Aside from having to semi-work at all… to have extra spending money and keep up repairs on the Truck and Rv… the retired life on the road full-time Rving has been wonderful. Spending extended vacation time with the grand girls is priceless! So here’s to “out with with the old year”… and “in with the new”. 2010 has tons of memories and 2011 is starting off the same way.  Just remember to slow down… stop… and enjoy every moment. You’re only given so many, and like most of us, you might be on the down hill slope. Cherish every memory… family… friends… and all the priceless moments that enrich your life. To everyone that we didn’t get to see this past year… family and old friends… you too are always in our thought’s and hearts. Don’t forget… take lots of photos… put them on a computer screen saver or a digital photo frame so you can be reminder of all those great moments… and have fond memories of family, friends, places you visited, and the things you loved to do… so they can touch your heart once again. Maybe that’s one of the keys to enjoying life… keeping those memories alive! So to all our family and friends… here’s wishing you a happy, healthy New Year filled with lots of memories. Snap, snap… click, click… seeya on the other side of the photos!

Happy New Year!
