Tried a couple of new things lately. One being Facebook, and two a game that’s on facebook… “Farmville”.
Facebook is okay and has it’s own special assortment of advantages. You add a posting and all your family and friends get to see your postings on their own page in real time. Kinda like instant messaging in a “group thing”… and that’s kinda nice. You can also have a private “chat” with those on the page. You can see what everyone else wants to tell the group and than make comments. The entries pile up, latest of on top, and continue as more entries are posted… so soon the previous posts go “out of sight” further down the list… still available to see (scroll down)… but more or less going into obscurity. Okay… it’s mostly about the moment… right now… what’s everyone doing or thinking…. keep it clean! there are some things we don’t need to know… or want to know!
Than there’s the games… too many to do unless you truly don’t mind spending more and more time at the Pc. I currently only play one… and only one game…. “Farmville”. You get to build your own farm from scratch… plow, plant, harvest, build, have animals, and accumulate money and acquire more land and keep growing bigger and bigger and getting more and more stuff…. while more and more stuff is added to the game essentially dangling more and more carrots on front of you to keep you playing and playing and playing. STILL… LOTS OF FUN… just need to have some self discipline … yea…right! … like that’s gonna happen. Sounds like fun…right? … it really is.
Facebook also has other features… searching for long lost friends from years ago that also might be on Facebook… so you can reconnect. The only problem is… I seem to locate more people that I have no desire to reconnect with… than with people I’d like to find…. but such is life.
There’s other features… but I haven’t had time to use them… I’m too busy getting more and more stuff on my farm. BTW… if you are on Farmville… and would like to be neighbors… just send me an invite… neighbor!
