Winter Solstice

Welcome to the winter solstice...
(not everything you were told to believe)
A celebration of Christmas?

The winter solstice was celebrated as early as 10,000 BC
Not only a celebrated time of the year,
It represented the middle of winter when the
Amount of darkness was at its greatest.
Going forward the time of darkness
Becomes less & less with each passing day.

The winter solstice was such an important time
of celebration, so widespread  and popular,
it was claimed and overtaken by Christians
to celebrate the birth of Christ.
What better way to originate a religious holiday
than to take over an already popular holiday.

Note: there is no actual date given to the birth of
Christ in the bible... but scholars believe from
References that it was in June, summertime.

Late December was indeed an arbitrary date
and taking over the winter solstice would
endure acceptance for a established celebration.

The Christian  celebration of Christmas was invented
by the Romans as the ways to co-op the tame the
raucous pagan holiday of Saturnalai.
Which actually celebrated a fixed time in
the Earths natural seasonal cycles.
