If population continues to exceed the food supply.

If viruses or plagues kill off 90% of the population.

If a planet killer asteroid hit the earth.

If the magnetic poles reverse again.

If an ice age suddenly occurs.

If the polar ice caps melt & 60% of land is underwater. 
If solar flares strip the esrths atmosphere. 
If trees & plants die for lack of nitrogen in the atmosphere

If trees die, oxygen levels greatly decrease.

If the ozone layer dissipates, solar radiation kills everything. 
If the sun cools and earth goes into deep freeze permanently.

If Artificial intelligence takes total control of humans.

If humans poison the air & water

If humans create genetic mutations. 
If humans create viruses devastating the population.

In the normal evolution of the earth, 98% of all living things perish during another mass extention. 

We nuke the planet and ourselves. Go figure.

But eventually,  the earth will not support human life.

Not a question of if... But when? 

Hawking concluded in about 100 years.
