Story Telling

Story telling... Part of human existence starting with the earlier forms on communication.  From hands gestures, to verbal languages, to paintings, and the written word.  Story telling... An instrument vital to survival, then passing down of knowledge and history, and then to entertain. Expanded first by the written word,  then radio, and television. Going beyond spreading knowledge and history, story telling became a wonderful way to entertain.  Tall tales around the campfire, books, radio, television, movies, and the internet all expanding the realm of story telling for entertainment.  Some of my favorites are mystery,  suspense, and stories a bit scary.
Looking back to childhood one of my favorite shows was the "Twilight Zone". Weekly stories where the acting cast changed weekly and the term science fiction was coming into its own. Filled with drama, suspense, mystery, and stories to keep young minds awake at night.
Of course, back then, we only had black & white tv ( no color).
So here's to all those wonderful stories hosted by Rod Sterling, a masterful story teller, who welcomed you into tonights tale.
For you older folks... enjoy the memory. Funny, I can remember those episodes from 50+ years ago... But can't remember things from last week,  or sometimes yesterday.
