vacation?

Disney in the summertime. Vacation time!

The reality is... The happiest place on earth during the summer time is not too happy or enjoyable. Huge crowds, insane long lines for attractions, rides, and food & drink... In the heat of a Florida summer? Unless you enjoy a large crowds, don't mind standing and waiting for hours ( some attractions have a 90 to 240 minute wait... Worst is 300 minutes). In the relentless heat dragging yourself and family around the park. I use to say that it would take twice as long to see half as much... It's an extremely optimistic statement. Is a bitter  pill to spend a ton of money and planning to suffer with heat and crowds. Not my idea of a vacation. Summer is the absolute worst time to go to Disney world.

Best times fall and spring but not around holidays like Thanksgiving and Easter. Winter is nice but can be very chilly in the evenings. October is great with Halloween and the special party... If they still have it. Early December is great with all the holiday decorations, but stay away from Christmas / new years. January and February it's not so crowded but colder with shorter park hours. Disney banks on you going into the park when it's warm, staying into the evening, and buying sweatshirts when it gets cold. I now have several. Google best times to go for less crowded times. Also they will tell you day by day which parks to visit.

If you plan a visit... Plan ahead. But I'd advise to stay away from summer time. Go to the beach!
