As you pass through your 20s, 30s, and even early 40s, life moved on, but come the late 50s and 60s... wow, life went faster than ever. All of a sudden I'm old, or at least looking that way. The mental image still has me at least in my 40s, until that old guy is starring at me in the mirror (shocking). Of course acting your age... well... that's why its called a second childhood. You think back, way back, to childhood. Where you grew up, the house, the neighborhood, all the parents and neighborhood kids, school mates, and all the fun you had growing up in such a wonderful place. It's great to see and hear from childhood friends, but also disheartening to hear that so many have passed. Hoping everyone had and has a wonderful life. I remember my 5th grade teacher, Mr. Lloyd, asking the class what they wanted to be as they grew up. As the answers circles the class.... Policeman, fireman, doctor, nurse, teacher, etc... my answer was "happy". The response was... "I don't think you understand the question". I replied... "I don't think you understand my answer". For some reason, that has always sticked with me. Life has has some ups & downs, as I'm sure it has for all of us... but I've always been happy. Work & jobs, well... it is what it is. Or was what it was, now being retired. Can't say I picked, or more or less fell into the right career choice, but they had a 30 years and out retirement. So, at 49 years old I took the 30 and out, sold my house, bought the rv of my dreams, and drove off in the sunset with the love of my life. We've had more fun and been so happy for the past 17 years just rving and enjoying life. Still worked some... keeps you young. Most fun job... being seasonal cast members at Disney World from 2004 - 2011. Got into all the parks for free, perks & discounts, free passes for family & friends. When not at Disney, we traveled and sometimes worked in Rv Resorts or campgrounds. It's been a happy life, especially the past 17 years. Well... That's a brief summary... and I achieved my life's goal... Simply to be happy. Hope y'all have enjoyed life to. It great to see and hear from childhood friends. If you have some time on a quiet rainy day, I have a blog that... well... covers lots of things but mostly what makes me happy. Our life in the road thing, Disney, places of interest, and words of wisdom (surely I jest). I also loved photography and all the photo programs to use in the digital photography world. Photo colleges to showcase memories is a great hobby.
