Since the dawn of mankind... fire has always gone hand in hand with humans. Campfires have always compelled humans to gather around fire for many reasons. Primal instinct was to gather around fire to escape the darkness, have safety, warmth, and for cooking. Human development would not have taken place if not for fire. Today, people still are attracted to socially gather around a campfire for warmth, camaraderie, and the mesmerizing and sometimes hypnotizing effect of the flames. It gives us a primal since of safety, and is simply relaxing. A sense of well being emerges from the flickering of the flames, the crackling of the burning wood, and the smell of burning wood. It has also been attributed to lowering blood pressure. Theory suggests that hereditary DNA encoding passed down through generations evokes all these feelings as we intently watch and experience all the senses in front of the campfire. The calming nature of sights, sounds, smells, and the warmth all combine to to produce the ultimate feeling of well being. Taste? Well, that too... how about a nice steak, or hot dog, or simply a toasted marshmallow roasted over the open flame... Delicious 😋.
Keeping it simple... There's not nothing like a warm campfire! Fall is the perfect time to gather around the fire with family & friends...enjoy!
How about a little music, singing, or scary stories.
