SOMETHING TO CONSIDER...
THE MEDIA... Something that most people have grown to have a love / hate relationship with.
Since, we'll call it news, was first spread by word of mouth, its been a mixed bag of information. Some good, some bad, and some twisted or bias in an effort to, well, basically TELL YOU WHAT TO BELIEVE. Media in any form propagated by political, religious, and business... has always worked to exert control over you, the way you think, your feelings, your beliefs, and naturally your money. Not all media is bad, most is simply informative and educational. Unfortunately too much is truly bad.
It began with word of mouth, than books & newspapers, then came magazines, radio, and television that took media to new higher levels. Even with a degree of journalistic integrity, the ability of media to influence your life became even greater... and potentially more dangerous. Than came the media explosion... the internet, where the unchecked ability of others, anyone in fact, to influence the lives of the masses void of journalistic Integrity. The unchecked ability of the internet has brought all the negatives of the media to its full potential to negatively influence all our lives.
Causing social division to promote influential control over your thoughts , your feelings, and how your react to a social environment. Hot controversial topics that media as massive control and influence over all of us in varying degrees. Most destructively by those that have a purpose, an agenda, and seek to influence you in a negative way. Some folks are merely annoyed by these negative influences, but many are easily compelled to jump on what ever band wagon or social cause is brought to the controversial forefront.
So much social division stirred up even among friends & family. Personally, I'm not going to get wrapped up in all these social controversial topics that serve no useful purpose other than to get people emotionally charged up, upset, and prone to making emotionally charged decisions, leading to actions that only serve to irritate and exasperate social conditions... Affecting not only your life, but everyone around you. Affecting family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, and anyone you have a interaction or connection to... Especially via the internet... Particularly via videos, "shares" of someone elses thoughts, and Facebook.
If there's a controversial topic, someone will seek to influence control over you. Even topics that normally would simply fade away unnoticed are exploded onto hot controversial issues... generally distorted in varying degrees incited by casually altering the facts or out right deception to influence you to think, feel, and believe as they do. AND YOU KNOW WHAT... IT WORKS... ALL THE TIME. The power of the media... powerful to alter and control.
HOW MUCH ARE YOU BEING INFLUENCED & CONTROLLED?
Just something to think about... Before you aggressively just on the band wagon that you normally wouldn't have given a second thought to.
Emotional manipulation simply to get you to act & do what they want.
Isn't life complicated enough without giving others control over you... how to feel, what you believe, and ultimately how you act & interact with others.
