What’s the status?

Looking back over my blog posts, it’s interesting to notice what people read. What entries are interesting to them, and passed on to others (getting the most views) and which are merely read and by core viewers. The most popular topics or “labels” viewed are not surprisingly, and in no particular order…  Disneymania, Potpourri of Amusements (which could be anything that strikes my fancy) , Philosophical look at things ( again anything, but a bit more thought provoking) , Travel and places (place we have enjoyed), and Fulltime Rving (the retired homeless persons home on the road). Kinda sounds like Jeopardy categories. They have a 10 fold level of interest over some other topics (labels). I guess people like to read about Disney and the lighter side of things. Kinda like the “Good news or stories of the day” … verses the usual nothing good to say, bad news that surrounds our everyday life. Some entries are long, some short, most with pictures or graphics. Most are simply intended to perhaps make you feel good and bring a smile to your face… and some to just get you to stop to smell the roses… family, friends, and the beauty of nature. Some just to get you to think about things, perhaps from a different perspective. But all are hopefully lighthearted and enjoyable, even if you are not interested in a particular topic. There’s the occasional and rare 100% serious “anti-political” topic to point out the short comings of our elected leaders, but then again that’s a topic that we see too much of in the daily news. Forgive me those, it’s just a point of aggravation or frustration with a system that has gone so unbelievably wrong and failed the working Americans of this country.

So, what’s the best way to view topics? Most recent entries are by timeline… newest at the top, oldest at the bottom. But “labels”is the easiest way to view older entries sorted by topics. Anyway… I like to find humor on the lighter positive side of life… after all, life is too short, and getting shorter quicker as you get older, to dwell on all the negatives in life.

I am sometimes amazed by out of the country readers. 15% of the views are from outside this country. Guess they want to just know more about Disney, or life here in the states. They may wonder why anyone could find fault with our government and politicians, or may wonder how we put up with them. Or maybe just want to see the lighter side of life in this country. When talking with people from other countries, they seem amazed with the rving lifestyle. Intrigued with our mobile lifestyle, traveling around the country and visiting new and interesting places. Actually, most Americans seem to embrace the idea of rving around the country. It’s like a lofty dream that they wish could lit into their lifestyle… rather then the normal house and job that ties them to live in one place… or retire them to a rocking chair in their home of 40 years. It’s kinda nice to know that they think that this is a “dream lifestyle”.

We have had more experiences and memories in the past ten years then perhaps for the previous 30 years… which involved mostly working 6 days a week, the job, the house, the same old same old for 30 years… with only the occasional break for vacations. More places, more friends, more adventures… not all fun and play, but all different memorable, and enjoyable.

Well, that about does it for this entry. Hope you continue to enjoy reading my blog from time to time. My thoughts, my feelings, and my bit of humorous insight into life in the 21st century.

Keep smiling and enjoy the lighter side of your life, and all the fulfilling memories that make life worth living. Life is always changing, sometimes not to your wishes, but there’s always an upside to everything.

Thanks for reading… and have a wonderful day.
