Tic Tock

Six months doesn't seen like a very long time... but it's all a point of perspective. Perhaps because it goes by so quickly, especially when you get older. Now if you are waiting for something that's good, it may seem like forever. If it's something not so good, time seems to go by quickly. Kids can't wait to grow up. Grown ups can't wait to be kids again (okay, maybe only some of us). But all agree that time goes by more quickly the older you get. Why?... because we are closer to the "end" then the beginning... and the "end" is something not so good... therefore, time quickens the pace towards things we want to avoid... like the "end of life". So, now time goes by quicker... and whatever time we have left is getting shorter... six months seems much shorter given that it now represents a large chunk of the "rest of your life"... especially since life, and the continuation of it, holds no promises for how long it will last. So what does all this mean? Well, nothing you can do about time passing too quickly, and you don't know how much longer you have... so enjoy each day. I was recently asked... "How are you today?"... my response... "I have a good day with I wake up and breathe in and out... then I have a great day when I can laugh... and a even greater day when I can make someone else smile". Sometimes the simplest things bring the greatest rewards... Happiness! So here's to a long and slow life, so that we all can enjoy everything to it's fullest... and simply be happy. While you can still remember things.
