A New Season

z20110222 (8)Sometimes ya think about things, sometimes ya don't. The more time off ya have, the better ya feel, and the more things you do, and the more ya feel inspired. Less and less time off, and the same old same old, really curtails the creative juices... but ya do what you have to. So I haven't written much lately. Perhaps Hemingway, like others, had it right. Travel around, see the world around you, interact with new people, have new experiences, listen to the stories... increase the time off... minimize the "same old, same old"... and release your mind to see things differently. The mind can certainly take ya to experience everything on a higher level of well-being... especially when your "same old, day to day" processes don't mostly consume your life. Hey, that's why we went fulltime rving... so that the 30 year job that consumed 10-12 hour days, 6 days a week, didn't fully consume our entire lives. The high cost of the house, payments, taxes, insurance, utilities, maintenance, upkeep, and general improvements to make you feel better about living there... after all, it really was consuming our life and our thoughts. The extra money from the job would be nice, but I can't imagine still doing that 30 year job, and extending it to a total of 45 years. So for now, I'll settle for work sometimes, and play the rest. Finishing up a "work time" this season... looking forward to less work, more time off... if for nothing more, then to watch the sunrise, the sunset... and enjoy the breeze through the trees, and the sand between my toes. Already starting to feel mentally refreshed with just the thought of it all. Change is good... going to be spending the winter with family and friends in the Florida Panhandle, then back to Disney and family & friends, and a little travel time... life is sweet. So here's to a new chapter in life, new adventures, and new memories with old friends, and new friends. Additional note: sometimes day to day life, well, it just consumes too much of your life, both in time and emotional well being. This becomes more evident with the older ya get. When you are 30, you feel your whole life is still ahead of you, when 60, the end seems a bit closer... reality of the "day to day, same old, same old" is very imposing... and life is too short (getting shorter day by day) to have too many "same old, same old's". Just something to think about... or not.

Of course… life is always sweeter when sharing it with Shelly!
