Friends Visit Disney

It’s always good to have friends visit us at Disney.

DSC_2164Dottie, Durwood, and Any, Dustin and their kids Nicki & Nickolas came down to visit us here at Disney. We only had enough leftover tickets to get them into the parks for 2 days, but had a great time. The visit started out with a day at Disney that no one even needed a ticket for. Imagine that… something free at Disney. So on Saturday… our first stop was the Wilderness Lodge. Everyone got to see the Lodge which is an attraction too it’s self… especially at Christmas. From there we took a boat ride to the Contempory Resort, looked around, saw the hotel, than jumped into a Monorail to the Polynesian Resort, than to the Grand Floridian. The hotels are indeed an attractions to themselves, and were especially festive for the Holidays. Again onto the Monorail and a quick transfer to another for a ride over to Epcot. The Monorails too are a treat for those that have never been on them. A quick walk around the Epcot entrance and back to the Monorail to the TTC. Took the Big Ferry over to Magic Kingdom and caught a boat ride to Fort Wilderness Campground. Got to see the campground, campers decorations for Christmas, and had dinner at Davey Crockets Tavern at 40% off. Another boat ride back to the Lodge, and picked up the car for a quick trip the Beach Club. They got to see the Beach Club & Yacht Club Resorts… and decorations… and than watch the Epcot Fireworks from the lighthouse dock. All in all a nice relaxing day ending with the fireworks… spectacular ! Day two was a bit more traditional… Magic Kingdom… wow… something to see anytime of the year… but truly amazing at Christmas.20081221 (489) We all got a lot done… shows, attractions, and rides… after all… there was two experienced park guides with them. Stayed the entire day at Magic Kingdom which ended with Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party… a special ticketed event fro 7 pm to midnight. Day three was split starting at Animal Kingdom and ending at Hollywood Studios with Osbourne Christmas Light Show.

What a great 3 days… needless to say… 3 days at Disney… open to close… made everyone very, very tired! … and sore. Next couple of days visit was to relax at the pool and go out for dinner.
