Warning…Here’s Your Sign!… or Not!

There’s always something to watch out for… something’s are oblivious and some that are not… sometimes you are warned and sometimes not. You just have to keep on your toes. Something’s are really unusual, some are interesting, some are scary, and some fall into multiple categories.

There’s the great coral/limestone slab that basically is under the entire area…. coast to coast, the everglades… everywhere! On land, its covered with 6 inches of dirt, otherwise it’s just under the everglades and the slew with a little bit of water covering it… or just plainly juts out into the ocean creating a shallow waterfront later dropping off into the ocean. They dig canals through it, wells into it, holes in it for yet to be determined purposes (maybe just to see if they can do it), and at the zoo they dig into it to create a barrier trench between the animals and the guests. Maybe this better explains burial at sea… take the easy way out. (pardon the pun). Okay I know. *accident* warning

Now I know to watch out for gators… but panthers… just walk the trails and you’ll see the paths in the underbrush made by something a lot bigger than a rabbit. Time to more on! warning (2)

Now I’m not sure that this is any better….

tisk…tisk… tusk…tusk!warning (3)

Okay a place with NO Warning Signs

This raised pathway goes out from the hardwood hammocks into the grassy wetlands and is home to the bald cypress… this is a very shallow and sometimes dry area adjacent to the slew.warning (4)

I’m not sure which is better….

Warning Signs?

No Warning Signs?

Now we really have to go!

The “right of way” always goes to the less fearless.warning (5)

Speaking of “Right of Way”

Hope there was a WARNING SIGN for this…

can you say “Ker-plunk”warning (6)

I don’t think I’ll go that way!

I like to do my swimming in the pool!

Gotta go… time for a dip!

… or a nap…

or a dip than a nap…

well… you get the idea!
