Population

Over Population

Not much is said about world population, or more accurately over population as it relates to environment, and food & water supply... not to mention health care. Humanity is steadily approaching the breaking point. Some would say that we are already in the early stages of over population and its negative impact.  Reality is, at some day, over population will reach the breaking point were resources can no longer support the human population.

Two fates are eminent. Mass starvation, diminished resources, and pollution of the environment... OR  natural environmental catastrophe that will greatly reduce human population well back into a sustainable
population. Neither prospect is very appealing.

The demands on every resource especially health care is made even more stressed by people living longer... boom.

Of course... human nature could release world war upon everyone... greatly reducing world population. The delicate balance that could be upset by over population and the the fight over resources... food, energy, land, and even fresh water.

But a they say.  No sense in worrying about things out of our individual control.

Science predicted that 7.7 billion is the tipping point, or if you will,  the point of no return. Humanity is already at 7.8 billion.

Just something to think about,  or perhaps best not to.
