One of my favorite characters has always been Jiminy Cricket. Not real sure why… it’s just one of those things that “just is”. No doubt something to do with the concept of “ Let your conscience be your guide”. So for years and years it’s been just that… “it just is”. Then, during a rare moment of revelation… when some times things just come to you… out of the blue… for no reason at all… without even thinking of it… wow… I realized I have a “Pinocchio complex”… so Jiminy would naturally be my guiding influence. Okay, perhaps not quite the complete influence that I need, but he certain should be helpful. 
For those that know me… I guess I have a playful demeanor to stretch the true… embellish the story… or just plainly make something up just for fun. Guess I should be thankful that I don’t have the same issues as Pinocchio… that “nose growing thing” might be a bit embarrassing, and certainly would spoil a well planned story of a questionable nature, by sending out a warning of sorts. That kind of warning to others could certainly be a hindrance to many stories and moments of fun and laughter… not to mention that it’s always good fun to drag some un-expecting person into a story… “hook, line, and sinker”. You know, the kind of story that really hooks them good… they are hanging on every word… believing everything completely… and as the story goes on it becomes ever increasingly more preposterous… just to see how far they can be “reeled in”… of course, all in a good natured fun… well… at least for me and others that are watching. So I guess I can say that the little Cricket guy is one of my favorite characters… perhaps for obvious reasons. Sure am glad about not having the the whole nose thing going on… but glad I hear the little cricket voice from time to time… “ Let your conscience be your guide”. Helps a little! … or so I tell myself!
Look close at the expression on Pinocchio’s face… and his hands. I know that expression and hand gestures.
