Personal well being
Perhaps this is a narrow view, but after six months of covid isolation, ongoing political turmoil, protests that turn violent, and the media that puts it all on your face ... well... the less you read, the less you watch, and the less you post (share) on social media... the better you will feel, and the less you will perpetuate a negative depressing social environment. Just something to think about... part of the problem or part of the solution to personal and social contentment? Personally, my emotional well being is much more important than tormenting myself over negative social situations. Of course, you are welcome to have a different perspective and stay involved in a depressing social environment... as for me I'm past having enough.

Diversity
Diversity and controversy.
They, someone, the intellectuals, the government... someone... Has always pointed out the benefits to society of diversity. Like with most things, there's the upside, and the down side. No one ever seems to talk about the downside. Cultural, ethnic, and religious differences / origins have always created social division. Ranging from exclusion, to prejudice, and to persecution. Anyone different was not and is not accepted and treated as equals. Just pick any topic or aspect. Some can not even get along within their own segment. Thousands of years of human development and people still can not simply get along. America, the melting pot of cultural and ethnic origins can not pull together as one. Add to this "its all about me" and "I'm offended by everything" and it makes for the perfect never ending social storm.
And so it is written...

People problem
Prejudice is a people problem and it won't change until we quit passing it down generation to generation. Prejudice is not limited to any one race... each perpetuating the problems.

Halloween 2020
Halloween 2020... being consumed by the black hole of 2020?
Struggling emotionally to get motivated to decorate for Halloween. Halloween is falling into the endless black hole of life in 2020. The overwhelming negative aspects this year, that's in your face everyday, is ... well... emotionally taxing. Normally positive good matured outlooks failing with nothing but negative news and turmoil. You do what you can with natural disasters and the virus. Violent protests, social turmoil, and the dysfunctional political climate... It's all too much.

Tis the season....
Tis the season. Halloween for some is merely October 31st. For others October 24th - 31st (one week). For some the whole month of October. And for some, Halloween season runs from mid September through October 31st. Guess I'm one of those September (6 week) kinda of people. Preparation, plans, decorations organized, and costumes made. Add to this that Halloween is absolutely the most fun holiday. Perhaps if Christmas wasn't so laden with the whole gift delima... anguish about right gifts, wrong gifts, unwanted gifts... idoeno... if Christmas was simply about decocations and family maybe it would be more fun... just fun. I like the Christmas season but its lost its appeal over the years. Halloween is simply 100% fun.
