Nature's beauty

The concept of being totally immersed in the experience being in space completely blows the mind. 
Wow... Unbelievable... I'd say I cant wait...

Fine dining... a lot can be said for fine dining. And it usually is... there will be 4-5 items featured on your plate and each will have 3-4 descriptors in front of each item. Along with a featured sauce also that has 3-4 names in its descriptive. You will either  be tired just reading the menu or super impressed and pleased with your sophistication of the culinary delights. Im impressed... well... kinda. But I'll always go for the simple things in life... simply choices. Buffalo wings. Choices... bone in or boneless... and choice of sauce. Simple sauces in one word... mild, medium, or hot.

Plus, I won't walk away hungry. Bon appetite.

Why blog?

Why blog? 
Keeping in touch with rving friends across the country. 

Keeping in touch with friends far away.

Keeping in touch with family far away. 
And perhaps bring a smile or maybe perhaps light hearted enjoyment to absolute strangers around the country and the world.

Perhaps even plant the seed for a different perspective, thought, or idea. 

Personal enjoyment... knowing that someday I'll look back at my posts and go... wow,  I forgot all about that... I remember that now. 
Personal confusion... knowing that someday I'll look back at my posts and go...

I don't remember that... but I must have been there, I'm in the photo.

Knowing that someday in the future, no doubt after I'm gone, my grandkids, and perhaps even my great grandkids will wonder things about me, and they can find things in my blog.

Personal disappointment... thinking grandkids... probably never will.

Personal enjoyment... perhaps my 5 seconds of almost fame... nice thought.

And, I just like writing about things I enjoy. 
Personal achievement as it were... Something left behind after I'm gone... better than a headstone... not as nice, but better in a way.

Nevertheless... hope you find something interesting in my blog. Something to make you smile,  laugh, or prevoke thoughts from a different perspective. 
Perhaps a break from day to day issues to enjoy the lighter side of life.

Favorite things....

These are a few of my favorite things. Disney at night time is absolutely the best.  The sun goes down, it gets cooler, the lights come up, and the magic of the evening begins. Everything seems to just pop at night.... Sights, sounds, colors, plus it simply seems more relaxed... and sometimes, the crowds start to thin. And the favorite nights always involve fireworks and naturally Christmas time. The best time of the year. The best times to go? Christmas decorations go up by mid November, so the lighted holiday celebration starts early.  The best time to go is before Christmas /New Years week.... just too crowded. Avoid Thanksgiving week too. I usually like the first two weeks of December.  

Beauty & bounty

There's nature's beauty... 

but you can not live on beauty alone...

Never gets old

Never gets old... night time at Magic Kingdom & Pirates of the Caribbean. 

What will they do?

Question:

What will those that are so wrapped up in the whole political issue do when its all over. I know... (first... it will never be over). And if by a miracle (sorry, don't believe in them)... someday it's all over... What will they all do?

Politicians will have to find some other excuse for never doing the jobs the jobs for which they were elected. (think hard about that next election day).

Political reporters will have to revert to something that they are qualified for... like reporting boxing & wrestling blow by blow as announcers. 

Talk show hosts will have to find new topics like doomsday predictions... oh shit the world is gonna end and we are all gonna die. 

Protesters will have to  aimlessly wander the streets searching for things that offend them. 

Regular people with have to remember what it was kind to have a life .

AND THE VAST MAJORITY OF CITIZENS WILL REJOICE THAT ALL THE NONSENSE IS OVER... but we still won't watch the news, watch talk shows, listen to anything a politician says, and if we are smart... vote all new people to congress that certainly can't do any worse than those in office now.... and in doing so restore some integrity to politics & government.

New world

A new world is emerging...

There have always been those that either feel
the world owes them something or wants
everything in the world to be as they think it should be.
They use to be a minority... now the majority.
They think everything is unfair if it goes against their perspective.
They think everyone is rude if they think differently.
They are offended by everything not to their liking.

They are intent to make everyone conform to their thinking.

They will emotionally rebell against whatever offends them.

They expect everyone to confirm to their ideas of society.

They protest when they can not get things their way.

They get violent against others that disagree.

They simply can not "agree to disagree".

They can not "live and let live"

Thet are always worried about what others are doing. 

They use religion to justify their bad behavior.
They crusade against things that don't even involve them.

They are not happy or content with anything.
They always seek to create drama and contension.

YOUNG ADULTS... TEENS... KIDS... ALL GROWING UP INTO THIS.

Yep... that about sums it up... very sad for society as a whole.

Holiday Treats

Holiday Treats... You can't start too early. Something for everyone. 

Magical Taping

Disney World & Disneyland have special tapings for special holiday shows to bevaired on tv. There's always the Christmas Parade that airs on Christmas morning,  and this year there was a special show aired on Thanksgiving evening. Disneys Magical Holiday Special which was basically an introduction to the start of the Christmas Holidays at the parks. Christmas decorations start to go up shortly after Halloween in the first week of November... marking the start of Christmas at Disney. This gives guests two full months to enjoy the Christmas celebration and decorations in the parks. The first decorations to go up are for the taping of ABC specials. This year preparation started on November 5th for taping of the Magical Holiday Special, November 7th-11th. Some taping are done after the park closes early and no general admission guests are around... some are done when the parks are open. The guests you see around the performances are special admission guests... not those in under general admission. We found this out on our first and only attempt to visit the park while taping was going on. It's not as good as you would think. Special admission VIP guests are the only ones permitted by the performances... sections are roped or barricated off so general admission guests can not even get close to see the performances. You are lucky to get a view from a distance. And they are not real shows... It's a tv production with delays, takes & retakes... segmented in bits and pieces. During the taping of the Christmas Parade, a 5 minute segment on tv, of Main Street filled with cheer groups filmed for 4 hours until they got the production shots they wanted. Not very entertaining in person to watch. So not only can you not get close under general admission, but you won't even enjoy the taping. It was an experience that was not worth repeating. Much more enjoyable to simply watch the show and performances on the TV special. Hope you got to see the special on Thanksgiving, and get to enjoy the Christmas Day Parade.
