Hawaiian Style

Despite the rainy weather, we are off to Disney’s Polynesian Resort to OHana’s for dinner Hawaiian Style. We have been planning this for 6 months… got reservations 4 months in advance… and the time is finally here. Shelly, Me, and Bri will be joined by our good friends Bob & Donna. The location, the atmosphere, the food… ahhh… should be a great Hawaiian Feast. The menu starts with Hawaiian Welcome Bread, salad, pork dumplings, honey wings, mesquite grilled turkey, Asian barbequed pork loin, spicy grilled shrimp with spicy peanut sauce and sweet n sour sauces… stir fried veggies, and followed by banana bread pudding ala mode topped with caramel sauce. Great time to use one of our 50% off coupons. 100% fun and 50% price. Just one of the Cast Member Perks.

Now that’s a Shocker!

Things that will Shock the World… as Mother Nature Repeats Herself. Recent geologic and weather events which are happening with more frequency and intensity are indeed tragic, but they are also seem to have a certain “shock” to them as if people are saying… “How could this happen?” … when the facts and the truth is… Mother Nature, as we call it, is simply going through a repeat of the same changes that have repeated themselves for thousands if not hundreds of thousands of years… it’s all a cycle of the planet. Yet… everyone is shocked, and I can only wonder why… it’s not a question of “IF”… but “WHEN”… and science knows its going to happen again and most are overdue based on the averages of frequencies over 50+ thousand years. 

The list is extensive… but here’s a few… the cost in lives and destruction will be unthinkably catastrophic. Is it that most people just don’t know of this, have their heads in the sand, or just think it won’t happen in their lifetime, or just don’t want to think about it at all? But…Then there’s the shock when something does happen.  

• When (not if) the earthquake caused by the tectonic plates movement releases full force between Vancouver and Portland to Northern California… some 600 miles… the entire region will be rocked by force 20 quakes and followed by numerous tidal waves. Major Cities will have 80% destruction… coastal regions destroyed.
• The magnetic poles of the Earth will reverse once again, as they have many times before, and the Earth will tilt on it’s axis changing all the climates in every region of the earth. Before suitable climate regions can support food production, there will be massive world wide food shortages.  
• Earthquakes cause a collapse of the centennial shelf, prompting a landslide and dropping most of coastal California into the Ocean… tsunamis destroy Pacific Islands and coastal areas from Russia & China, and to Indonesia & Australia.    
• Weather patterns are changing as they have for thousands of years… what’s ahead? More frequent and more severe weather related disasters. Harsher winters and summers.
• Yellowstone Basin will explode with such force as to devastate the entire central United States with world wide effects… resulting in nuclear winter.
• Volcanic eruptions will widespread with increased frequency and be more intense than anything in human history.
• Volcanic Island explosions in the Atlantic will cause several islands to drop ½ their mass into the ocean causing massive tidal waves that will go a hundred miles inland. Coastal U.S. will be completely destroyed and the waves could conceivably roll over Florida completely to the Gulf.
• The upcoming planetary and magnetic alignment of the solar system and the galaxy will effect climate changes on the Earth… December 21, 2012,  several years to follow will tell the tale.
• The regular Ice Age cycle may arrive sooner than averages predict and perhaps more rapidly then ever expected effecting drastic worldwide climate changes.
• The new alignment with the galactic plane, which occurs only every 26,000 years, will magnetically effect all the planets plus change the orbits of planet killer asteroids which may come close to Earth or impact the planet. Massive destruction, devastation on a worldwide scale, and possible near or total extinction.
• The alignment will also influence activity of the Sun, massive solar flares could have devastating effects with possible radiation and harmful rays that our atmosphere can not block… also massive worldwide effects.
• More problems around the world with earthquakes, volcano's, tidal waves, and severe weather with ever increasing effects. Hurricanes, tornados, floods, droughts, famine, and loss of life will occur sometime in the future… it’s not “If” … but ”When”.  
• God, Gods, or Beings return to Earth to save us, save some of us, or observe our demise as the planet goes through it’s normal cycles and the world as we know it changes forever. Certainly the bible would call this “the end of times” and thus predicting “their” return… what happens is yet to be seem, but as written, the righteous are to be saved from the devastation on Earth and taken into the heavens as the planet rages with a hell like existence for those not saved. “Saved” referring to a physical removal from a raging planet verses being “Saved” in a spiritual context… or perhaps that’s an interpretation or confusion of the promise and the meaning of the word “Saved”.  Perhaps a token sampling will be saved as to not have the species go completely extinct.    
• While we worry about the tree owl or some other animals, scientists have shown that extinction is a natural process and that some 95+ % of all creatures that once have lived on the planet have already gone extinct as part of the many extinction cycles.
• Shocking… well the most shocking part is that governments around the world are ill prepared for disasters, let alone any kind of catastrophic worldwide event, except to say that they are listening to the scientists… they know that’s it only a matter of time… and is a question of “when” and not “if”. Rest assured they will not inform the masses if impending doom is closely emanate, but we could all rest assured they they have special shelters for our leaders so that our government will survive to continue to function in the face of such catastrophic destruction. Given the ill prepared resources to handle a localized disaster… the plan to govern after worldwide global catastrophe is merely an illusion of the surviving government officials ability to “fix” things, and it is nothing more than the mere survival of the politicians. There will be little resources to help fix things, and even less people to govern… and those still remaining will be consumed by day to day survival and with the chaos that will ensue, no doubt will not have any illusion of government help.
• Scientists and researchers are finding more and more evidence of past advanced civilizations that have disappeared apparently as a result of such global catastrophes… their knowledge and achievements lost to time… except for the few remnants that we continue to slowly find. It all tells a story… mainly that planetary history repeats itself. Humanity is but a mere drop in the ocean of the planets history… on a planetary scale… we are mostly insignificant.

Futuristic movies have themed the planetary doom and the survival of the species we know as humans. At least the movies try to do a somewhat ethical choice of selection for who is to survive to carry on mankind… scientists, engineers, and people from all walks of life. Reality will no doubt be somewhat less ethical as the government strives to save the politicians and the lawyers to repopulate the planet. Now there’s a thought.

So… conclusions… well… when it all happens… and if those living today are still here… there’s absolutely nothing to be done about it… and any attempts will probably be short lived anyway.

 So live for today… enjoy family, friends, and life itself. Tomorrow holds no promises for how long we all have either individually or as mankind… or if, or who will be spared or “Saved” in the end. Noah saved two of each species… will the animal of mankind have the same fate? … only two to be saved? Who knows.

For me… I’ll enjoy life day by day… hoping that this is all somewhere off in the distant future… beyond my lifetime and that of my grand kids.

And yes… I have too much time to watch way to many Tv shows on the History Channel… and for those of you that don’t… well… that’s the whole purpose of this entry. One more thing for you to think about… or not.

Man, the Moon, and the Stars

Man, the Moon, and the Stars… Just a little something to ponder on a starry night.

The Earth, the Moon, and the Stars in relation to mankind has existed forever. Modern mans experience and the scientific proof found to support the facts is now some 20,000+ years. With each new discovery modern civilized man spans an ever increasing period of time. Structures and monuments that would have challenged today’s building technology are now being dated back beyond 15,000 to 20,000 years ago. Structures that indicated advanced skills and technologic achievement. Evidence of lost knowledge that has only been regained within the last few hundred years… as well as achievements that still have scientists puzzled.   Civilizations that advanced an understanding of the Earth, the Stars, seasons, and a calendar that spanned 10’s of thousands of years both before their time, and after, into the future beyond their existence. Science keeps finding more and more evidence of advanced capabilities that ancient man knew and used to build and shape their world, that was somehow lost to time. Certainly there are many more questions than answers and with every new answer, and there are that many more questions. How did everything begin… where did we come from… was mankind helped in the past by more intelligent beings. More and more stories passed down by religions and native beliefs are being confirmed as factual. Ancient writings and drawings are filling in the pieces of the human puzzle as to what happened and when. But again, each bit of knowledge brings many more questions. Enlightening and interesting to say the least… and while I enjoy the facts and truth of the past as the pieces of mankind's puzzle are discovered… I mainly reflect on my life and experiences and ponder my own time… yet sometimes beyond. Looking that the Moon and the Stars can certainly make you wonder what kind of life others had thousands of years ago as they gazed upon the exact same Stars as I was looking at tonight. Seeing exactly the same thing now, as they saw thousands of years ago. What were they thinking… the same as me? Where they thinking of people from their past or perhaps wondering how people thousands of years in the future could be in this same spot… looking at the same moon and stars… thinking just what they were thinking… feeling the same feelings… and somehow finding a peace with everything as they gaze into the heavens. I myself can gaze at the stars and somehow feel a kindred spirit in some small part, that is shared by the feeling that hundreds if not thousands of years ago… someone was exactly where I was now… looking at the same moon and stars… having the same feelings. The moon and the stars can do that to you… take you to an inkling of another place in time beyond the present. Kinda makes the current world with all it’s trouble slip away. Yep, the moon and stars are a great source of speculation and wonderment that has fueled religions, beliefs, scientific knowledge, and understanding in some small scope, of mankind and the universe in which we live. When you think about it… pretty much everything on which we base our lives, existence, and future to, has come from the Earth and the Stars. No wonder they hold such mystique and wonderment… now if they could only talk to tell us the stories of the past… so that searching for every bit of history… like a needle in the haystack…  wouldn’t be so hard and drawn out. So just sit back, clear away everything of the present, and just focus on the earth, the moon and the stars… clear your mind and gaze into the heavens as if your mind is searching for answers. You may feel something, or maybe not… but at the least you can forget about the worlds troubles at least for a few moments… and refresh yourself and your wellbeing. So go out and enjoy the night sky, perhaps with a different perspective in mind. 

        

Tasty Lunch….

There’s always a treat now and again… and this was certainly one of them. Before heading into Disney we stopped at Logan’s Roadhouse for a quick lunch. Most times we make a meal out of the appetizers and today we did the same. Brianna got the Chicken tenders and we got a sampler platter and Cajun popcorn shrimp. All delicious.

Bri especially liked the Fried Cheese Sticks…

and demonstrated how to eat them…

and the Cajun Shrimp was very tasty indeed.

Nick & Karen Visit

Shelly’s brother Nick and his friend Karen came down for a short visit. It was only a short visit … daytrip for them… but it’s always a special treat when family comes to visit and it’s always a pleasure to go into Disney with them. Today’s adventures started to at Red Lobster and a great lunch. Myself and Shelly got the usual lunch special… Grilled Chicken Breast, Shrimp, and baked potato, with a salad. Red Lobster never… never disappoints (always gets 5 stars) … every bite was simply delicious and only made better by the family and conversation. Than it was off to Epcot for a walk around the World. We started at International Gateway and made the one mile journey around World Showcase in less than 5 hours. Numerous stops and side trips for treats and refreshments. Perfect weather although the sun was a bit warm.

Perfect Office…

If you have to work in an Office, you might as well make the best of it. Make it colorful and fun. I kinda liked this unique design both for functionality and appeal. The idea of bringing the outdoors inside to enjoy a refreshing and peaceful… less stressful work place.

Haunted Mansion Que

We have all been wondering about the work being done at the Haunted Mansion. The Entrance Que Line for the Mansion has be made longer and a lot more interesting. The old graveyard has been expanded and made larger. Yes, a few ghosts had to be relocated but they are sure to enjoy them new homes… as will you. The new graveyard not only has all your old favorites but some new arrivals too. The que also has some updated features… and Organ that really plays spooky songs as guests touch the keys, and a stone wall depicting musical instruments that actually play more spooky music as the guests touch them… everyone play in harmony. Should set the stage and put you right in a “haunting mood”. Anyone want to join the band for eternity?

Choices…Choices…

Choices… choices… there are way too many choices in the world today. But there is one solution for getting rid of one more of those agonizing decisions. To Tell the Truth…

For those of us that my be old enough to remember… but not too old to forget… there was an old Tv game show called “To Tell the Truth”.  A panel of four people questioned three contestants who all claimed to be the same person. The object of the game was to deduce from their answers, who in fact was the real person, and what their occupation actually was. Here’s an update version of the same game. You have to deduce from the clues who or what this person really is… could be fun.  The answers / clues are the complete truth… so there are no false or misleading answers or clues here. So lets get started… here are the answers… deduce what this person is to win the game!

Answers / clues: This should be easy…

• I say I will look out for others but really only look after #1… me!
• I have a high paying job with lots of perks at others expense.
• I get paid even if I don’t show up for work.

• If only my learned colleague didn’t oppose the good I want to do.

• Corruption is merely a point of perception… It doesn’t exist.
• I am above the law and free of social conscience.
• I make the Law that applies to you, not to me or my kind.
• No matter what happens, it’s business as usual cause you can’t do anything about it.
• I control how you “see” what I am doing. I’ll tell you how good I’m doing.
• Public opinion has little effect on me, I care not. I can not be touched.
• I know you can’t do anything about me or what I do.
• I am in total control.
• I am like a God.  

This is but a small list of clues, but probably enough… I know I’ve certainly had enough.

AND WHAT THEIR JOB IS ?

Did you guess who they are and win the game?

Well… “win”… that’s another relative term.

They are indeed… “ELITE”. There’s only 435 of them verses 300 million of us.

That’s right…. they’re the 435 Congressmen and Senators… they are the one’s that are suppose to have us as the number one  consideration. Now there’s something to laugh about… or cry about depending on your perception.  They are so busy running this country into the ground that foreign countries have to financially bale us out and prop us up because their economy is tied to ours… and if we fall… they fall. So sad that it’s gotten this bad. Probably beyond fixing… and that’s the tragedy. We don’t have to wait for a natural disaster to do us all in… it’s man made!  We don’t have to wait for a terrorists to do us all in… politicians greed and corruption are doing it for them. So where will it all end… probably a total social meltdown to  disaster. If there’s a Superior All Powerful Being or God… their return could be nothing less than a blessing.  Not the legacy that I’d hoped for … not what I’d want for my children or grandkids.

Political… Me? … not really… Anti-Political? … who wouldn’t be? Vote them all out… give one party 100% control… remove their excuses… which party… I don’t care… and see if they do the job they’re paid to do… if not, reverse the party on the next vote. So which party wants to go first? … probably neither… knowing they have to fix the problem without having ENDLESS EXCUSSES! … AND BLAMING EACHOTHER.

FINAL QUESTION: History…History… What happens to a civilization when the population no longer has faith or trust in their corrupt government? (easy question… bet you know the answer).
