A Little Fan Fare

Just like the Hollywood Studios in Disney World, Disneyland in California has a new show called the Wonderful World of Color. It appears to go way beyond “Fantasmic” here in Florida. But as they say “A Picture is worth a thousand words”… here’s a few pictures of the new show. For those not familiar with the show… several “Fans” of water are sprayed into the air, creating a solid screen across a wide viewing area. Than pictures are projected onto the water screen. Couple this with water fountains, lights, fireworks, and pyrotechnics, and dramatic music that surrounds you, and you have quite a show. Here are some samples of the new show…. bigger than life!

Not All That it Seems…

Sometimes… things are not always as they seem.

Beautiful evening… the park has closed… almost everyone has left the park… the sun is setting… great time to snap a few more shots. While I was taking the picture of the Studios “Mickey” water tower I heard a strange “swishing… roaring sound”.

x.wing

Mickey’s Ears started to lower and the top was opening up… wow… what was this?

x.wing (1)

A platform emerged… than “swish”…. something flew by…

x.wing (2)

Wow… what was that? Looks like a plane…

x.wing (3)

A fighter jet… but no… an X-Wing fighter… it was like something out of a movie…

x.wing (4)

It was landing right on the platform… wow…

x.wing (5)

and there is was… amazing…

x.wing (6)

Than the Ears closed… and it was just as though nothing had ever happened. All over in 20 seconds.

x.wing (7)

As if Nothing had happened…

I still can hardly believe it… and I have the photos…

and no one else saw anything… nor heard anything.

I was the only one. I’m still in a state of disbelief.

But you can see it for yourself. Sometimes… things are not always as they would seem to be.

Keep a watchful eye… especially when the sun goes down… and keep your camera ready.

Ya just never know what you might encounter.

So … what do you think ???

A little Magic Everywhere.

No matter where you are, or where you go, I guess you can always find a little Magic. Or at least something that sparks some kind of familiar image in your imagination. You do see them, or can find them almost everywhere. Most times it’s the simplest thing found in the most common place… and usually no explanation or interpretation is needed…

Classic Tree House

When we all think about a tree house we no doubt think about the standard scrap 2x4’s and scrap plywood that we managed to gather from somewhere… nail together in the most atrocious manner in a local tree and fashion what we called a tree house… “no girls allowed”. It’s a wonder we didn’t break an arm or leg with the expect and professional standards we attained.

Not withstanding that image… there was a real tree house that was the pinnacle of all tree houses. Built by a Swiss family named Robinson… or so the story goes. And as you can see for your self, it was quite the project, I don’t think I’d really mind living in that today… so long as it had electric & Wi-fi… and Direct Tv of course.

Very Impressive indeed…

Most people would never see these Tree Houses.

They are located on the waterway that connects Downtown Disney to Port Orleans & Riverside Resorts. So you can only see them if you take the boat between the two. Talk about a dream vacation spot… Id like to stay there once… I’d even settle just to go in to see them… Nice… Very Nice… the Tree House… reinvented.
