WDW Memories Site

One of the themed years at Walt Disney World was “Let the Memories Begin”. They created a site where everyone could post pictures of their best Disney Memories and Magical Moments. Six of our photo collages are on the site… 3 for Kayla and 3 for Brianna. (Rest of the grand kids to follow later). Kinda neat to have them on a Disney site. We made 100 photo collages for both Kayla and Brianna. So what’s a photo collage?  Well, we take and ordinary photo, add graphics and text, and create a special photo collage… a little something to take an ordinary photo to the next level… A Special Disney Memory of a Magical Moment! Hopefully, the girls can look back on the photo collages we created for them, and always have fond memories of the times we spent with them… something they can keep for  lifetime.

Christmas in July

Just days before this weekends…

Christmas in July. And we are getting the gift of rain.

Twas just days before Christmas, and all through the house...
not a creature was stirring, not even a stuffed mouse.
When all of a sudden, what should I hear...
a tap, tapping on my roof, it sounded so near...
then some rumble, rumblings afar in the sky...
I arose in a flash... I was wondering why...
I ran outside to see what was the matter...
and to my amazement, find what caused such a clatter...
With a drop on my head, and several all around...
I watched in amazement, as more rain hit the ground...
we're finally getting rain, on this dry parched land...
and I thought to myself... now isn't this grand...
So ends my story as a new day begins...
now everyone will wake... with a great big grin...
we can't work in the rain, oh, dear, what a shame...
the word will go out, as we clearly proclaim...
we're off for the day... now what shall I do...
I'm just gonna nap and relax... how about you.

Fireworks

July 4th Fireworks. It’s that time of the year when everyone thinks of fireworks… and I am no exception. Love those fireworks. As most everyone prepared to leave the campground to go see the local fireworks, I was asked the same question over and over… “Are you going to go see the fireworks?”. My answer was always the same… “No, not tonight”. I had already answered that same question most of the day. When asked… “really”? … my reply was that I loved fireworks… and not to diminish the local show… but since 2004 we have seen countless fireworks shows at Disney World. Being there usually 4 months or more every year, we have seen more fireworks then most people see in their entire life. Not only that, but given the Disney Magic of fireworks… the setting, the atmosphere, the theme, the music, the lights, the sounds, and how it all comes together… well, it’s hard to match that anywhere… and everything else is just plain fireworks. So here’s a few samples of past Disney fireworks that we won’t be seeing in person this July 4th. Hope you enjoy photos of them as much as I do. Of course, mere photos or videos truly can not do the Disney fireworks shows any real justice.
