Disney Magic

6287115735_b2fdd090b8_z

In the realm of things… cities are cities, beaches are beaches, mountains are mountains. All in different locations and all different, yet still all the same. Some better, some bigger, some more exotic… but still basically all the same… a beach is a beach, is a beach. But, Disney Magic… yep… it is certainly “Magic”. Make believe and Fantasy may not be everyone’s thing… but as for me… yes… it is a Magical Place. A place where you can go to escape the world as we know it and have fun… totally free of cares. The power of your imagination coupled with Disney Magic takes you to places not only of fantasy, but also to experience something of places around the world. Epcot gives you a taste of other countries around the world. Animal Kingdom lets you experience the wonders of wildlife from the African savanna to tropical jungles as if you were really there. Hollywood Studios takes you into the realm of the movies. Magic Kingdom… well… the name says it all.

It’s a kingdom of enchanted lands each taking you to a different experience. All the sights, sounds, and flavors of a turn of the century Main Street USA, or Fantasyland, Frontierland, Tomorrowland, Adventureland, and Liberty Square. All having a unique atmosphere and charm, and all taking you to sensory overload. Sights, sounds, smells, adventures, fantasy, history, and the future. Special shows, parades, fireworks. Everything combines seamlessly to create a fully immersive experience. Something new around each corner… something new to stimulate all your senses. It’s almost impossible to take it all in on a casual visit. You are so completely absorbed in all there is to see and do… the real world as you know it slips away… and the child within you takes over… taking you to a Magical Place. The sense of well being, happiness, and sheer delight fills you day. Chicken soup for the soul. Refreshing, renewing, and revitalizing. Recharging your inner self. Ready for the new day ahead, and new adventures. One of the greatest experiences is to take your grandchildren to this Magical Place. As if your personal experiences were not enough… seeing everything anew through the eyes and emotions of a child… priceless. Precious memories to last a lifetime. Some of my best memories are from times at Disney with family and friends. Then there’s the Disney Magic at the Disney hotels and resorts.

hotels

Nothing at Disney is just a hotel. The Wilderness Lodge takes you to Yellowstone Park and Old Faithful Lodge. Animal Kingdom Lodge takes you to the expanses of Africa. All the themed lodges and hotels take you to another place and time. They too immerse you in the total experience. The Polynesian Resort takes you to Hawaii. Port Orleans takes you to Southern Dixie Mansions or the French Quarter. Caribbean Beach Resort and Key West take you to the islands. The Grand Floridian lets you experience the turn of the century 1900 Grand Hotel. So the Magical Experience that you enjoy in the parks continues at the resorts.

Disney… 24 hours a day… Disney maintains the magic. The Boardwalk is remissness of the Mid-Atlantic Seaside Resorts. Beach & Yacht Club lets you see how the well to do vacationed ocean front in years past. Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground… great park with a Frontier atmosphere of the old west. Yep… total escape from reality. Good for the body… good for the soul. So what can I say… I’d live there if I could!

It’s no doubt one of my favorite places. Lots of memories that fill me with happiness! … and sooths the soul… puts me a peace with the world around me. But that’s just me… my happy go lucky personality and Disney are a perfect fit. Can’t wait to go back. Since 2004 we have spent extended time at Disney… usually 3-4 months every year, and sometimes longer. Some years 5-6 months in the area enjoying Disney and all it has to offer. Maybe we’ll seeya in the parks… ya never know. Be good, have fun, and live well.

Tye-Dye Fun

We Fulltime Rv… yes… and as some may ask… “What?” Well, we semi retired in 2003, sold the house, and just about everything in it… bought the Rv of our dreams… and drove off into the sunset. Yes, willingly, all on our own. Took the 30 year pension and drove off heading south… verses west. But you can read more about that in other entries. Part of the year we work, and part of the year we play… and sometimes work is play. We have basically done activities for the past several years at Rv resorts and Campgrounds. Snowbird Parks and Family summer fun parks. We are workampers… I know… “what?” We simply travel to different parts of the country in our Rv and work short term in different resorts doing activities… yes, we are paid to plan activities and play with the “big kids” as well as the “little kids”. One of the best things we have the most fun with is doing Tye-Dye T-shirts with the guests. The guests get to make and create their very own Tye-Dye T-shirts… and with our help and advise… and they do a great job! Last summer in Texas we sold over $10,000 worth of beautiful shirts, and didn’t even do them on Saturdays (the busiest day of the week). Lots of fun with great results and a “fun experience” for the guests… especially the kids. Here’s some recent wearable works of art.

Yep… a lot of Fun! … but ya know… somebody has to do it!

Going wrong?

A friend wrote…. “When you try but it feels like nothing’s right… you gotta keep on moving”.

Guess we all there at one time or another.

My reply:

Always! Keep looking for the good in everyday... expect to find it... and you will! Sometimes it's just good to clear the mind and take in some of the simple things. Watching the birds, butterflies, squirrels... checking out the flowers, up close, the colors, the contrast, the beauty of how they look. Daydreaming... just get a blanket, lay down on the grass and watch the clouds roll by... or better yet, relax just watch the moon and the stars. When the world seems so big and impersonal... the little things can put you back into a good perspective with the world around you. Hope your day goes good.

Always works for me… a mental escape… relaxing the mind and the body. Simple but effective.

Be Happy!

[ Sometimes ya wake up and a thought comes to mind. Something that may help someone else deal with a situation in their life. I don’t know if I’d call it words of wisdom… just thoughts on a topic that may help. This is one of those topics. ]

It always seems to amaze me… there always has to be some folks that just can not be happy.  No matter what… they simply can not just be happy! Not everything in the world is going to go perfectly. That’s a fact. Not everything is going to happen the way you’d like. Not all the rules are going to be to your liking. Generally the older you get… and I presume the wiser you get… this should become more apparent… and you should have found a way to at least cope with this… and hopefully learned to accept and not let it bother you. As the old saying goes… let it run off you like water off a duck’s back. Treat it as an incidental part of life… quickly dismiss it… and get on with being happy. If you haven’t gone too far down that negative road… “turn back”. Unfortunately… some have reached the point of no return to happiness… and it rules their life… negatively effecting all around them. I wish them well… some where else, anywhere else… NOT around me.

Some folks never grow up and never get wiser. They like to dwell on the negative… let it take over the moment and the rest of their day… effecting not only their own happiness, but all those around them.

If you look for the bad… well guess what… you’re gonna find it… and your life will be ruled by it.

So dismiss the bad… look for the good… and make your day and those around you better for it.

Just let to go. We’ll all the happier for it.

You’ll be happier… those around you will not have to deal with your negative behavior… and you just might have a few more friends and meaningful interactions with others.

Something you don’t like is a small problem.
How you let it effect your behavior and your interactions with others… well that’s the big problem.
So who’s to blame for the big problem? Ya don’t have to look too far.

So while this short entry will no doubt fall on deaf ears and those in a self righteous - self denial negative world… the rest of us may find comfort in realizing that we only need to distance our selves from people like you that try to bring everyone else down. It’s not that you are unlikable… it’s just all your negative spirit that engulfs your life and your negative behavior that pushes everyone one away from you. Something to think about. Stop making life miserable, or go someplace where you can be alone.

For the Happy People of the World… Thank You.

Thank you for making the most of your day… and your life… and spreading happiness.

Thank You for sharing your happy experiences with me and others.

Thank You for for just being happy and fun to be around.

Thank You for your uplifting spirit in others moments of being down.

Thank You !

For you are the one’s that are the most appreciated and respected…

for just being happy… and sharing that happiness!

Thank You !

It’s Works…

It works again!

Nearly a month ago, or perhaps longer, my “Windows Live Writer” that I use to publish to my blog went bonkers! “Live Writer has encountered a problem and needs to close”. I tried everything to get it to work…. everything! Spent hours trying to resolve the problem. All with no results. Other free programs wouldn’t work either… arggg! Strange that I had the thought that it went bonkers right after a regular Microsoft update. Strange thought… silly me… why would that create a problem? Now… strangely enough… I did a another regular Microsoft update, as usual, for security etc etc… and now my Live Writer works again. I’m sure that just because Microsoft is at odds with Google, especially since Internet Explorer use to have a almost 80% share in usage, and is now dropped to near 20% with the introduction of Google Chrome… nah… that couldn’t be a reason for Microsoft to create updates that would affect their programs being used to access a Google program, “Google Blogger”, via Google Chrome. Strange, but something to think about… just makes you wonder. It is a fact that you can not use Google Chrome to access and download certain Microsoft programs and features… you must use Internet Explorer. Yep, just makes you think about it… and if I should download and install future updates from Microsoft. Very strange indeed.

And that’s all I have to say on that subject! …

aside from the fact that Live Writer is working again!

(smile on my face)

I can Blog Again!

Influence

Sometimes, when I wake up early, a topic comes to mind. Could be something from my past or not, or something that just might help someone see something more clearly. Most times I never know where the topic is going... it just flows to the end. I have been told several times in my life that I have a great deal of influence on others. That certainly seems to convey a greater concept then I can imagine... and a somewhat added responsibility if it is true. I guess that comes from trust and respect. I guess in part, it's like the old saying... "you get what you give"... give respect and trust, and you'll get it in return. I don't think I'll have the same effect as E.F.Hutton (lol)... but it's nice to know that I can have a positive influence with, and on others. I don't really think that anyone can truly make anyone else believe or feel something that wasn't already a part of their being. You can bring to mind something that will let them focus on the brighter side of life... bring a smile to their face... and make their day a little better... but it was something that was already there... it just needed a friendly "poke", to bring it out. I'd like to think that I project mostly a positive influence towards others. But, whether it be something positive, or something dealing with a negative issue, you can't really change a persons base thought's or feelings. You may bring up key points that start them "thinking", but in today's world, most people are strong minded to draw their own conclusions. No one is going to be influenced beyond their own feelings. So for good or bad, no one really excerpts influence over another... but merely gets them to "think". If it's something negative... your influence is limited to encouraging them to "think" and draw their own conclusions. Their conclusions are based on their thoughts and feelings. If they think and feel bad of something, then those feelings are based on their experiences, either personal or witnessed, and if someone feels that another has influenced them to feel this way about them... well, sorry... it's real feelings that were there all the time. My influence was limited to getting them to merely "think" about he issue. So... if someone feels and thinks something about you that is not too flattering... it's not that I have influenced them to think bad of you... but it all falls on your shoulders... something you have done, or neglected to do, that puts you in a bad light. So do not look to blame the person that made them "think" about you, and how you are perceived to be in a "bad light"... look to yourself... for no one could create negative thoughts or feelings about you, but you yourself. Examine what you have done, and take the responsibility for your actions... not blaming the person that encouraged them to "think" about it. Sad to say... but some people that do things that put themselves in a bad light... always seek to blame others for the way people feel about them... never accepting responsibility or having the willingness to correct an injustice or accept the responsibility for it. And as for the person that encourages others to "think"... they are the first condemned... for they bring to light any injustice that has been done. Also sad to say, this concept and thought process is wasted on the guilty... for they will never "get it"... they will only continue to blame others... especially those that encourage others to "think". No doubt a self preservation thing... limit the damage... suppress the truth so that no more people will think bad of them. But then again, if they cared what others think... they'd change their ways... and try doing what is right... rather then seeking to blame others and cover it all up. Just the fact that they are trying to suppress the feelings of others conveys that they are aware of their wrong doings, and the possible negative effects, and don't want it to spread... less more people know the truth, and think less of them. ... ... Well... I feel better. Maybe someone else reading this may too feel a bit better. We've all had to deal this people like this. As for me... not to worry... this has nothing to do with any personal recent events... I'm okay! … perhaps a bit mad… not angry mad, the other mad… but I’m Okay!

6 Things…

Sometimes I believe as many as six impossible things before breakfast.

  1. There's a potion that can make you shrink.
  2. And a cake that can make you grow.
  3. Animals can talk.
  4. Cats can disappear.
  5. There is a place called Wonderland.
  6. I can slay the Jabberwocky."

So I guess anything is possible! If only You Believe!

…except for one small detail….
